Whenever some politician pigeonholes people into groups and uses them as an example of our culture being under threat. Is it out of genuine concern, or an attempt to get more votes for their party?
Does using people’s fears to divide and rule work? and if so, why do we fall for it? |

It’s to control a narrative and defending out culture is not really of concern.
Claim millions of Turks are coming to our country and that’s politically ok as we are defending our culture.
Try to say stop Indians from bringing Covid that’s racist!
It’s how it’s presented and how the reality is twisted to show others in a bad light.
Our politicians are very devious and untrustworthy. They claim they want to change things and make a difference but as soon as they are elected just do as they are told by party central. What ever happened to independent thinking and the moral stance?
The system in this country is fast losing the claim to be democratic .

YES!!! Because Goebbels’ technique of “[Propoganda] must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over” was valid 90 years ago, 10 yeas ago, and today:
I can’t get a job - the Jews are to blame
Health care has deteriorated - the Jews are to blame
The price of beer has gone up - the Jews are to blame
The No 6 bus is late again - the Jews are to blame
I can’t get a job - the EU is to blame
Health care has deteriorated - the EU is to blame
The price of beer has gone up - the EU is to blame
The No 6 bus is late again - the EU is to blame
I can’t get a job - X is to blame
Health care has deteriorated - X is to blame
The price of beer has gone up - X is to blame
The No 6 bus is late again - X is to blame |
