Is the government good at letting people hear that they are comitted to reducing or improving something, but are bad at executing the proposed changes?

North West

Global Britain - Rhetoric

Levelling Up - Rhetoric

Protective Ring - Rhetoric

No child to be left behind - Rhetoric

Build back better - Rhetoric

Economic Recovery Plan - Rhetoric

Get Brexit Done - Rhetoric

Those are off the top of my head.

There are probably countless more.

Between Chichester and Havant

But it's not just the government. It's the opposition too. All politicians use rhetoric and sell a dream.

Some are more dreamers than others!

Are we more in the boat of being content with the answers being given just so we don’t worry about them?

I suspect a lot of people are not content with this government.

As for the meaningless buzz words, I think they spout them mainly to get those buzz words printed as headlines.

There is definitely an element to that.

Johnson is just telling people what they want to hear without any substance to them..get Brexit done, levelling up,what was the NHS one?

They are simply empty words and people fall for them.

...but only the people in power get to inflict a nightmare on the rest of us. Their incompetence is eye-watering.

I usually see them as sales people during any election. Like an advert it often has a strap line that needs to be short and to the point.
