Mostly hod carriers for all those plastic bricks...a few policemen, firemen, lollypop ladies, ambulance people and chefs. Strict criteria is for all applicants to have plastic bowl-cut hair (removable)  |

That is probably an intuitive punt that Brits will be taking fewer foreign holidays and for the coming years at least, there “should” be dynamic growth in the U.K. (stay at home) holiday market.
I would similarly expect growth in caravan, camping and boating. |

We're going abroad if we can, God knows what if we can't travel.
As for prices I've seen for holidays in the UK I'd rather not go anywhere until abroad is realistic.
Camping is always good but depends on availability last thing. |

That may be the case, but UK "stay at home" holidays are absolutely going to increase in the coming years.
We have yet to fully witness the effects the loss of FOM for UK travellers and I think that red tape and bureaucracy at the EU border will dramatically cut the number of quick getaways to Europe. Particularly if Spain and Italy follow the lead of France where proof of accommodation is required at the border. I read somewhere, though don't know if it is true, that French property owners will have to register arriving family members - cant see how that will be possible - but all the same, more kerfuffle is not what people want. |

I read about this too, can't see Spain doing it as they seem pretty desperate to get the brit tourism back but who knows. Do you know if France applies the same rules for any non eu national visiting the country or are these rules just for the UK? |

After a bit of digging it appears to just be France and the details are still not clear at this time. Nothing much official on government websites, both ours and French, mainly a guardian article so maybe nothing but the press stirring the pot. |

Actually, there was an article in the Daily Express on Monday suggesting that Spain would do the same as France.
It was one of those that started “Fury as....”
As it was in the Daily Express I decided not to entirely believe it. |

Lol probably the best idea, did not see that one myself but wouldn't of put much stock in it either. I guess a lot will boil down to whether they want tourists from the UK or not especially as this seems to only be aimed at UK travellers and not other non eu countries from what I can see. |

Short breaks around our island especially some of our amazing coastline are fantastic. Problem is weather is unreliable and most want that guarantee. Obviously it’s not just that though, we like to see and experience what the rest of the world has to offer especially its culture and people. Having said that...Staycation/s for us this year again but will be more than catching up in time. |
