Told the Unite union he had no connection to Liverpool or Joe Anderson, despite tape recordings to the contrary. 94 million quid in union fees blown and salted away on a conference centre. Reported in the Times today.

Great bunch of lads.

No disciplinary action obviously.

Unite haven’t commented I don’t think, it was their interview, if I was a union member I’d be asking some questions.

Joe and co are on police bail. McCluskey still being paid his 140k salary.

Original budget for the conference centre was 7 million.

Great bunch of lads.

Have a look at when Unite tried to have a pop at Anna Turley. Shameful.

Or not condemn. Depending on the outcome of the investigation.

A tory gets accused of sleaze and there are epic levels of whataboutery and deflecting about labour.

A non tory does the same and there is not a word in his difference

Viva la difference

Funny how this sleaze story has not generated as many posts as the tory one, maybe just maybe the posters who would condemn this are not jumping to conclusions and finding him guilty without trial unlike the other thread.

I'm quite sure that I posted it weeks ago lol.

But the sleazy loan/not loan for the flat was 4 years ago . . . so 'sleazy history has been in the man at least since then'.

He is often called the Labour 'King Maker' so I suppose you would need a 'King of Sleaze' in order to do that. And right from the pockets of Unite Members too.

Yep, a million here, a million there, soon you’re at 94 million and that’s a lot of union dues from the poor.

Probally because there isnt a person on here who thinks if he has done something wrong ,he shouldnt be punished?

Whereas when a tory is embroiled in yet another sleaze story, there are endless whataboutery and deflecting posts.

Simple.

"Care to comment on the Lenny Sleaze?"

It he has done something wrong he deserves whatever consequences come his way.

Just like the likes of anderson etc.

There is no exercuse for people creaming money for themselves.

Unforgivable.

Simple.

Indeed. As with the other stories floating about your innocent until proved guilty. If guilty then they should be punished

I hope there is a full investigation

I hope this investigation is independent and that he doesn’t get to decide wether he has committed any wrong doing .

If he is found guilty he should be punished to the full.

No deflection, no what ‘labourer policies’ ‘but we are in a pandemic’ ‘he is doing the best he can’ ‘could you do any better’ etc etc

However you would expect them at times to have dealings with the Mayor not a crime

I cant see any situation where the accused gets to make that decision?

It would lack any credibility whatsoever and just be a farce!
