And Greta helped deliver it . . .

"The high student population of the city may be behind some of this movement, with last year Greta Thunberg leading a march of some 15,000 people through the streets of the city demanding action."

Another labour critical piece by sky.

How many is that now this week?

I think a huge feather has just knocked me over.

As an aside greta is boss and the fact that she can give middle aged, middle class white men an annurism is a delightful bonus.

'Merry Christmas'

Nope. he's saying he doesn't want it to be true. So he attacks the source as being pro conservative.

He ought to have a look at sky news everyday online they are seldom pro-conservative.

Promise 15k school kids and students an afternoon off to protest global warming? Not exactly a tough ask by the greens is it?

Hope they made sure their I.phones were fully charged by fossil fuel generated electricity in order to take all those selfies for twit-book.

If Labour can't take the Shires, and now their metropolitan base is under attack, then they really do have problems.

There's a surprise it saying the same thing. I wonder if the 140 workers from cammell laird who have been made redundant would have liked a new royal yacht to build.

It's not just the students. The Greens have been popular in Bristol for a while. Many of the wards don't have any students living in them.

In the last couple of GEs the Greens nearly gained a second seat in parliament.

The city is a pretty progressive place, so the disaffected Labour voters went green rather than blue.

Yup. At some point everyone in Labour voters/members/politicians need to hear the message - 'what is your relevance, say it clearly'. Until then, they are rapidly becoming the Wilderness Party.

It's pretty standard. First attack the source trying to make it look like a pack of lies. Don't look into if the content is correct and if asked say your not interested ( while continuing to rubbish the story they not interested in). Insist its a non story and is anti Labour or anti Europe ect . I'm sure I missed many other quotes but I'm sure you get the gist. Basically they would prefer such news not reported

"If Labour can't take the Shires, and now their metropolitan base is under attack, then they really do have problems. "

Apparently, Green was second choice for many London voters in the Mayoral election so there is some truth to that.

The green candidate came second in the run for mayor in Bristol too. It was reasonably close from the first count, but the Labour guy retained it by a decent majority after the second votes were counted.
