I dont think the government did anything wrong in this case its obvious cameron was trying to use his previous position and contacts but failed epically as no one took him up on his offer.
If labour try to use this the people will see them as desperate what with boris,s wallpaper etc. |

It's funny that people "just don't care."
Yet it wasn't that long ago that people cared immensely about the way Ed Milliband ate a sandwich. They cared massively about how Jeremy Corbyn dressed and the size of his poppy.
Within living memory, we all got upset about MP's expenses and cash for questions.
What has changed??
Well, if you look hard and are prepared to put bias to one side it is obvious.
Real politics has been cast aside and now it is all about identity politics. These really are dangerous times for the UK and yet people are sleepwalking into the loss of democracy because of whom they presently identify with.

It’s all very well going after the veritable sleaze fest.
But having sound policy is the one that’s going to get the votes. Otherwise they just look salty.
Take a two pronged approach would be best. |

"Long as labour don’t get anywhere near being the Government can overlook the con party’s sleaze "
This right here is where we're at.
People have been convinced not to care how corrupt the government is, because the alternative is the bogey man.

It certainly was with Corbyn. (With his strings being pulled by Momentum/Militant Tendency from Liverpool). We didn't need the press to tell us that. |

I agree up to a point. I disagree about most people caring because we should demand better news and we don't. Our media, like our politics, is a reflection of what we presently identify with. |

Closing the gender pay gap, when it's never measured properly and various researchers have concluded there isn't one
Banning zero hours contracts. Reform and legislation improvements yes, banning is going to hit a lot of people very hard.
Four day working week. Just lol.
Minium wage 10 quid to under 18s. There won't be any under 18s employed then.

Lisa Nandy said on Peston last night that what Labour need to do is convince voters that what Labour want to do will be good for them
That summed up there problem they should be saying we will give you what you want they do not want left wing dictatorship.
How can these so called intelligent people be so wrong.
Example people wanted Brexit Boris gave it to them government is there to serve the people not dictate |

I think a few missed the actual converse of what was being highlighted however - People Do care - just NOT about wallpaper, the flat etc . . . and the way that Labour just thought that point scoring their way to victory was the thing to do.
This really does point out - for most voter - just how much savvy people have. They want Parties to vote for that are offering policies to enhance their lives not whinge and whine about freaking wallpaper (I mean SKS in the wallpaper shop? Just how sleazy was that lol)
I hope Labour actually read the article in the vein it was written. Pointing out and obvious that they obviously didn't see. |

So. You are actually saying that the wallpaper story was manufactured to 'cover-up' the bodies piled high story?
Well there's a triumph of common-sense, because the wallpaper story would just so eclipse a bodies piled high in the streets' story, wouldn't it?
hahaha. Nice one.
