It is in enough publications .
I just gave an example from a right leaning publication,
So the Right couldnt pooh pooh
The Guardian , The BBC , The Mail |

Same as with most things shared here. Doesn’t matter if it's anywhere else, if someoneon the right shares a link from the Express or the Mail it's the same old people on the left pooh poohing it |

The express is gospel around here.
An infallible, pristine, unbiased newspaper.

I'm gonna take a wild guess that remainers haven't read or understood the story?
It is similar to the import VAT change at the start of the year, this time making sure that companies can't claim a tax credit twice on the same product. Jeez. |

Teeside will be left to rot by the Tories as usual.
At the next election, the blame will be pushed onto the EU, Labour, remainers, Corbyn etc. People will vote for the Tories again, "for change". As usual.
And on and on it goes. |

This was totally ignored by the usuals when I posted it yesterday . . . I wonder why?
Well. No I don't.
https://news.sky.com/story/election-results-polls-serve-up-boris-johnson-a-defining-victory-and-threat-of-historic-loss-12301665
Up here, Mr Johnson was massively bolstered by local Tory Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen's huge personal following.
"He's the only one who's ever done anything for us," is how a cab driver in Darlington put it to me.
A freeport, a revived local airport, people in the North East region see a new band of Tory MPs and a Conservative mayor bringing investment into the region, and that has built momentum going into the Hartlepool by-election.
The calculation for plenty of voters here is that nothing really improved for decades voting Labour, so why not give the Conservatives a chance."

Hold on, no need to cash out. They've just given you an early payout. Thats staggering as the bookies very very rarely do that |

So he is blaming labour? Even though the Tories have been in power since 2010? That is his choice, let’s hope things improve for them "
Nope.read the story. He is blaming the fact that they voted Labour FOR DECADES and got nothing so now they are voting Cons to give them a chance. |

They have been cons since Brexit - they found that since then things have improved like they HADN'T under Labour. So why the flying vote Labour.

Stop asking logical questions.
It will be inteserising to see if there was any change when labour where in power.
Personally I can recall the late 90s,early 2000s far better than the deprivation under Thatcher or austerity. |

The concept of the difference between local gmnt and central gmnt appears to be lost on some people.
If there are not enough hospitals..that's a central gmnt decision
If there are not enough police stations.. that's a central gmnt decision
If there are foodbanks..that is because of austerity
Whst exactly are local gmnt responsible for?

I know it hurts to think why people are thinking about how they will vote from their experience - but sadly - for Labour - that's the way it is.
The interviewee told you what has improved and why he voted Conservative again.
His decision, like I have said 4 times now, I hope they get the jobs and investment they were promised, Hartlepool has been left to rot for far too long,
By Labour.
You can't blame Labour for anything because they haven't been in power for so long and councils don't really count "
The 2 people I saw interviewed from Hartlepool blamed labour for police and NHS cuts,
One voter said: “We had the option to give birth to our second son in Hartlepool but we decided against it, because there is no doctors, no [hospital] theatres, and if anything went wrong, God forbid, we would have had gotten off to Tees.”
Another voter said
“Now we’re getting to a stage where you can sort of think for yourself – we’ve had enough of Labour. They’ve just wrecked it, everything.
“The hospital, we haven’t even got a cell where we can lock someone up on a night. We haven’t got a court, where we can take them to court. What’s that all about? You’ve got to have these facilities, [such as] police.

No, your missing the point, the 2 people interviewed are obviously ‘confused ‘ because they thought the police and NHS were ‘local issues’ as stated by their bizarre and ill informed claims , unfortunately they have made themselves look like fools on national TV |

Wrong By far the majority of people consider local services to be run by local government and to a good degree they are, including how local NHS services, Police & Fire are implemented by priority.
Read the story above to prove that point.
The local Crime commissioner will set their targets and priorities for their region. So will Local NHS Trusts.
Learn how your local government work.

All funded by national government, if you think the police and NHS cuts in Hartlepool can be blamed on labour your obviously as confused as the 2 people interviewed. Do you remember Cameron and Osbourne’s ‘austerity ‘ policies ?? |

And how the funding is used by Local Government and NHS Trusts and Police Priorities.
You can't make it different just by saying it's the way you want it to be.
And during austerity those priorities still would have been made by local government.
35% of the Police Service is taken locally in your council tax bill - go get out of your drawer and read it properly.
Sorry. But I used to work in Local Government.
It's actually how it works. |

Some LG guidance for you.
Search LGA and work through how priorities are set.
Use asset publishing to compare how funding is 'selectively' used by local Government to set their local priorities.
Understand the LG Precept and how it applies to local government decision-making, level of precept and setting the priority for its use at an LG level.

Spot on
All businesses that free trade agreements have been negotiated with will benifit.
Pity about the £35bn worth of business that the agreement was not negotiated with though....
The Tory party will always put a good spin on things to make the proletariat think they did well and the proletariat refuse to believe that the Tory party don't walk on water for fear that their faith turns out to be misplaced.

"Apparently because it's in the Express it's bullshit. At least that's the usual left argument.
I highly doubt it will be this time though
It is in enough publications .
I just gave an example from a right leaning publication,
So the Right couldnt pooh pooh
The Guardian , The BBC , The Mail
Same as with most things shared here. Doesn’t matter if it's anywhere else, if someoneon the right shares a link from the Express or the Mail it's the same old people on the left pooh poohing it "
The Mail isnt a Left leaning paper though .
Thats what made me laugh when i wrote it .

Oh i dont know
Possibly Britain First pages on FB
Perhaps & other right leaning social media types laying it on against anything close to centre left &
Far left .
It could be that they just like going to foodbanks & didnt want to go back to having money & buying food , when Fred says under the Tory party they got it for free .
What do you think about why Fred voted Blue ?

Going to be interesting where all this money is coming from. A few months ago hanock was saying there wasnt a magic money tree to buy desperately needed ppe For the NHS Now whilst maintaining the investment in the south, they are going to level up the north, build freeports and tunnels on top of the uncertainty over Brexit and recouping the money spent over covid.
Still Alex is anything, is a man of his word. |
