I've considered this long and hard.

Seventy year olds not vaccinated in France. Daily protests. Riots in Brussels. Blockades against British trucks. Merkel and Macron going. Ursula seen as a joke by all sides. Air taxis, lobster and champagne continuing unabated.

Time for remainers to apologise for wasting five years of our lives on this rubbish, venal, corrupt institution.

No judgement. Cleanse yourselves ITT. Go.

To be a patriot and to love one’s country is to give your best to promote the well-being, the prosperity and the security of your country.

To act seditiously and undertake the actions of a traitor is to act in ways that harm the country by dividing it and risking economic or physical harm by propagating falsehoods and high risk concepts in the face of overwhelming evidence that suggests such actions would be harmful.

Remaining in the EU was an act of continuity that would have retained cohesion in our society, the integrity of the United Kingdom and prevented the collapse of the currency and prevented an economic downturn. Remainers argued patriotically to protect the best interests of this country, its citizens and its economy.

Leaving the EU was an act of ideologically inspired Nationalist dogma. Leave supporters ignored the likely consequences to the integrity of the country, the strength of the currency and the inevitable damage to British business. Brexiters seditiously and wilfully argued a case that they knew would harm the country, its citizens and its economy.

Leavers = Traitors

Remainers = Patriots

We will all be remembered for the arguments that we made.

Although none of that is true, which is self evident as we watch Brussels collapse, it is also the case that history, and law, is written by the winners.

So you're kind of doubly wrong, really

All of it is true

Neither the city of Brussels, nor the EU is collapsing

A version of history might be written by the victors, but history has a way of being truthful in the end. (But are you suggesting that lies can be recorded as historical fact as long as you “won”)

Law evolves - it always has and it always will.

We all lost, it’s just that the traitors amongst us have not yet found the backbone to admit that the Government fucking over its own citizens as a means of getting an ideological fantasy over the line was contemptuous.

You need to up your game. What a pathetic attempt at refuting the facts of the situation.

I was right and I am still right because the truth trumps bullshit all day, every day.

I’ve detailed financial costs incurred already so won’t go over again. But the jobs we’ve moved to the EU in our business is a true indication of the stupidity of Brexit.

Noticed that vans will now require an international operators licence due to the Brexit deal. There goes the booze run!! Another win!!

Shipment to UK from Germany did not get here. Incorrect paperwork apparently, but same as the shipments that did get here despatched the same time. It got returned to the sender in Germany with a customs clearance label attached.

Boy, they need to play catch up. If this is how they trade with the rest of the world, it must be a right pain.

Maybe it's something to do with Germany. Where I work a large well known German company sent us some parts that were faulty. Eventually they replaced them but requested we send the faulty parts back. It was explained to them that the policy and contract with them states they have to arrange and pay for collection. So they e-mailed saying this was now impossible as the UK has left the EU. So my boss told them that other EU companies have managed just fine to do this and if they do not arrange collection we will scrap the lot. Next day they arranged the collection without any of the alleged problems

Leavers = Traitors

Remainers = Patriots

Meanwhile, we still await remainers specifically identifying how they personally have been negatively affected by Brexit.

I’ve detailed financial costs incurred already so won’t go over again. But the jobs we’ve moved to the EU in our business is a true indication of the stupidity of Brexit.

Noticed that vans will now require an international operators licence due to the Brexit deal. There goes the booze run!! Another win!!

People buy a van to go on a booze run? Eh? "

It’s a law restricting small vans whatever your trade it’s a negative .

"I've considered this long and hard.

Go.

. However the costs to which you refer are specific to your company, not all companies in general. Your key point appears to be you have incurred an increase in transport costs for exports due to the fact that fewer foreigner hauliers are available to take back loads out of the UK. Whilst cut throat transport costs may be of an advantage to your company, it is not good for the haulage industry in general and no supplier ( haulier ) wants to have their operating margins driven to rock bottom by haulage exchange clearing houses . A number of UK based hauliers are now picking up extra businness due to the reluctance of Continental hauliers to come here

Certain jobs have moved out of the UK for a considerable period of time . We have call centres in India and manufacturing businness have been setting up in countries with a lower cost base for a considerable period of time.

Brexit is simply a case of swings and roundabouts. Some you win, some you lose .

Another fine set of subs here. Item dated today 26th April

Sales of milk and cream to the EU are down an extraordinary 96 per cent – and chicken and beef by almost 80 per cent – because of Brexit, new figures show.

Overall, the trade barriers erected in Boris Johnson’s deal have cost exporters more than £1.1bn since the start of the year, The Food and Drink Federation says.

The organisation said it was “essential” that the UK urgently restarts talks with the EU to resolve the crisis – something the prime minister has so far refused to do.

The statistics lay bare how withdrawal from the EU – rather than the impact of Covid-19 – lies behind the collapse in exports, since the transition period ended on 31 December.

Food and drink exports to non-EU countries rose by 8.7 per cent, between February 2020 and February 2021, but fell by 40.9 per cent to the EU.

Downing Street has, so far, rebuffed industry calls to reopen negotiations with Brussels, other than to try to resolve the legal crisis surrounding the Northern Ireland Protocol.

But Dominic Goudie, the FDF’s head of international trade, said: “Exports to our biggest market, Ireland, have also dropped more than two thirds.

“UK businesses continue to struggle with inconsistent and incorrect demands at EU borders, and small businesses have been hardest hit due to the collapse of groupage distribution into the EU.

Think these count as a loss . Maybe cheaper cream and beef in the U.K. before the producers go bust!!

I would prefer to see how these figures feed through to individual companies before passing judgement. If it is possible to analyse the impact on larger companies , we can then assess the impact ( if any ). I am unaware of any companies issuing profit warnings because of Brexit - they have simply adopted to changing circumstances.

If things were as bad as suggested , I think there would be outrage from farmers as they would end up dumping their product.

Utter rubbish.

Dealing with the major logistics providers I am very aware of other industries dramatically affected due to our ongoing discussions on the issues. .

Customs costs and increased transport costs affect all industries and are not unique to me.

How do you think people export?? On a bus??

U.K. domestic hauliers will benefit on a very small scale as cabotage is not the aim of foreign hauliers. Turning trailers around is how to make a profit on international transport not pissing about on local haulage.

We import more than we export as a country and that won’t change anytime soon so U.K. hauliers do very little exporting. So your comment on me individually taking advantage of cut throat haulage is just ignorance of the economic reality of trade.

I can supply from other countries but using the empty trucks is advantageous to U.K. exporters and helps them compete with continental rivals.

I am also can confirm we are not alone and i am aware of business moving jobs due to EU clients not wanting to deal with customs.

Call centres don’t risk losing business they just reduce costs at the expense of U.K. employees.

Our own government doesn’t drive those job losses as they have done with the terrible Brexit deal.

So with exports uK manufactures mostly lose!!

It’s less swings and roundabouts and more slides downwards !!

Which bit is wrong?"

Where did I say anything was wrong? I said it reminded me of the mindless Trump supporters. I stand by that.

If it is “mindless” then it must be a fabrication, fake news and/or lies.

If it is true - it can’t be mindless can it?
