They don't have most of the information in the census questions.
This is what it's for (from the census website).
"What is the census?
The census is a survey that happens every 10 years and gives us a picture of all the people and households in England and Wales.

They dont have it all, such as what heating you use, how many bathrooms etc, the number of people who live in a house etc. I'm sure they could glean most of it from various sources but easier to get it on one form.
I dont know if other countries do a similar thing. |
