Landlord asked him to leave his pub, imagine if it was a Saturday night ... would it be acceptable then?

I would have stepped between him and you and broke social distancing to protect you - the landlord was being unreasonable and very aggressive. Best ask SKS why he went in but when the landlord screamed at him to leave he left - even handing him his glasses back.

Can't answer those questions for you. So I won't guess that he did, or he didn't. But the first person to man-handle anyone in a very aggressive way was the landlord when he man-handled SKS's minder.

Ya know I have the feeling that the average person being treated like that by the landlord on a Saturday night would have gone one of two ways 1. The landlord being arrested for common assault. 2. The Landlord being punched by the person he man-handled in such an aggressive way.
Also. It was probably good luck that the Landlord didn't try to spin SKS on his feet in the doorway in such an aggressive way, because chances are he would have been arrested for assault on an MP.
The only thing the Landlord did right was ask questions. Everything he did after was extraordinarily bad behaviour.

Why was the footage cut just before the landlord looses it.
I don't overly trust the media anymore and feel some context may have been removed to explain why he blew up like that.

Speaking from experience, when I was in the game, many years ago ... if I asked someone to leave my pub, they would leave or if they didn't... be escorted to the door, if aggressive then coppers would be called.
If I recall correctly assault a license holder was an automatic 2 year in jail, though assault on a copper was 5 year, how times have changed |

I can't see what you think should have happened...they looked like they were trying to diffuse the situation and moved away from the man, turned out that was a mistake
If I had an aggressive man shouting at me in the street I would enter a building to get away from him.
If you are saying I would have had to sign in while doing that I would laugh in your face. So it seems you don't have to sign into a pub at the moment anyway |

What is it that you are objecting to ? I can't figure out if it is the no signing into a pub when you don't have to or the pub he entered, or why he entered , or why his security had to get involved with an aggressive man or why he was in Bath altogether

Glad you are no longer in the game! What bizarre reasoning?! People are to anticipate that the landlord is going to be aggressive towards them otherwise it’s their fault? Wow! This world does not stand a chance. Surely that is the last thing anyone would expect from a pub landlord. It is called hospitality for a reason. |
