After 16 months Tesla has still not got final permission to build a factory in Germany and has announced after site clearance they may pull out citing German bureaucracy.
A lot of us could have warned them about that, fair chance they will turn to the UK instead. |

“A year after starting construction on its first European auto assembly plant on the outskirts of Berlin, Tesla is complaining that German regulations are too slow and inflexible, risking a delay in the opening of the facility.
“Obstacles in German law governing permits are slowing down the necessary industrial transformation and thus the transformation of transport and energy,” Tesla said in a 10-page letter, which was seen by The New York Times.” |

"Those German environmentalists are complaining about a factory that builds environment friendly cars! "
I think what there complaing about is the woodland that was ripped up to build the place.i know that electric cars are cleaner than petrol to run but the stuff thats used to build them causes a shitload of damage aswell.open minning and child labour and thats just to get the stuff to make the batteries |

Reported a few weeks ago. Some models not doing well, rationalised line up with the incoming electric cars and the reduced engine construction that goes with it.
I have 2 VWs and in recent years the current line up has not convinced me to trade them in for a newer model. |
