Is this the same Iain Duncan Smith?

Benefits slasher Iain Duncan Smith, who was given a knight hood for worsening the future of children and the disabled in this country, being sanctioned by China for speaking out ove the Uyghurs?

I appreciate the Uyghurs are having a much worse time of things than IDS's victims here, but what's going on with him?

I think you should look behind the headlines of 'benefit snatcher'. The ideas he came up with weren't implemented. Just a hash up by the then government.

I said look behind the headlines!

Many of his ideas made a lot of sense. Unfortunately cuts and the civil service working their magic meant they weren't fully implemented meaning we are left with the system we have. Part implementation.
