"Germany to scrap five-day lockdown over the Easter holidays as Merkel apologises for 'mistake'

The country had planned a shutdown on top of existing lockdown restrictions with all shops closed.

However, the move had proved controversial as there had been no discussion before the plans emerged in the early hours of Tuesday.

"The idea of an Easter shutdown was drawn up with the best intentions, because we must urgently manage to slow and reverse the third wave of the pandemic," Ms Merkel said.

"However, the idea... was a mistake — there were good reasons for it but it could not be implemented well enough in this short time."

She admitted: "This mistake is my mistake alone."

She admitted: "This mistake is my mistake alone." People wonder how we won the war war lol,Merkel is losing it thats why she is retiring"

What has this got to do with WW2. She stated in 2018 that she was leaving in 2021.

Wow a leader of a country changes their mind on something and the usual suspects admire her for doing a u-turn.

Boris Johnson apologises for getting north-east England lockdown rules wrong.

Boris Johnson 'deeply sorry' as UK Covid death toll passes 100,000.

Boris Johnson apologises for 'misspeaking' about new rules.

I think if someone has to apologisexa lot, you have to wonder whether they have a good grasp on their role. Typically in a new job you might make one or two mistakes and then apologise. But the number being shown suggest he isn’t actually up to the job. Perhaps it is time for him to be replaced?

"I think if someone has to apologisexa lot, you have to wonder whether they have a good grasp on their role. Typically in a new job you might make one or two mistakes and then apologise. But the number being shown suggest he isn’t actually up to the job. Perhaps it is time for him to be replaced?

Dont worry we get a chance in three years.
