Filipe Piatov says the EU is at risk
Jump to: Newest in thread
The head of Opinion at Bild Newspaper, Filipe Piatov, says the German and EU effort to avoid Vaccine Nationalism has caused incalculable damage to the Union and threatens its existence.
This is all very sad. We should be concerned what happens next, hopefully the collapse of Brussels can be managed effectively and the European countries can still be customers of ours. |

In your mind we should, what is more concerning is that there is a effort by Nationalists in our own country trying to downplay the vaccine effort and spreading conspiracies which is reducing the uptake here! They are trying to destroy our nation from within.

I'm sure we can all agree that a managed decline of the Union is in all our interests. We don't want chaos like the USSR break up on our borders.
I'm purely thinking ahead so we can all plan for this. It will affect your med holidays as well you know. |

Another day, another self trolling thread.
At least you paraphrased the Express this time instead of copying and pasting.
Wonder why the Express keep digging up these non stories from European versions of Farage. A more cynical person than me would suggest it's to distract from the brexit clusterfuck going on right here. |

Eh so I've now got to deny thinking something I wasn't thinking lol how does that work.
Why haven't you denied being a secret Trump supporter... for example.
Romania is a great example of an out of touch elite not knowing what was going on. There were fewer than a thousand deaths total during the revolution, not great but "relatively peaceful" compared to other insurrections. |

I said it doesn't count as an Armed revolution which bizarrely you are accusing me of fomenting.
What I said was "The revolution in Romania has a lot of parallels.
You are confusing quality with sales, they are not the same thing, you then seem to be wandering into promoting armed revolution.
Try again."
it was at that point you started going on about "proles" and Romania, yu could of course have said "I do not think violence is the answer" or similar, you chose not to.
But don't worry, I'm sure you are still thought of as a big thing on thse boards.
a good attempt at diverting from your error

"The head of Opinion at Bild Newspaper, Filipe Piatov, says the German and EU effort to avoid Vaccine Nationalism has caused incalculable damage to the Union and threatens its existence.
They are trying to destroy our nation from within.
well they arnt doing very well then over 20million vaccines now in the U.K.
Is it not 1/2 million vaccinated and 20 million with 1 shot so a long way to go " yes and the 1shot as proved to be doing better than was expected try to stay positive the U.K. are doing a great job with the vaccines |

When are you going to point out that Bild is basically the German version of the S*n?
It's actually a broadsheet and the best selling European newspaper.
The Sun.... Isn't.
You're starting to get a reputation with me for being a little fast and loose with the facts to be honest.
sorry, I forgot you were "a big thing on these boards", or something like that.
You seem to confuse the size of the paper it is printed on with thecquality of the contents.
Heres a link that will give you some information about the publication.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild
Take the opportunity to read it.
I'd love to see a response to this.
Respond to what? It's Europe's biggest selling newspaper by a margin.
I'm merely reporting what they and their readership are saying.
You can all act high and mighty dismissing the proles but it's the proles who will deliver the coup de gras to Brussels.
The revolution in Romania has a lot of parallels.
You are confusing quality with sales, they are not the same thing, you then seem to be wandering into promoting armed revolution.
Try again.
Romania was bloody but doesn't count as an armed revolution, the army was quickly on side with the proles.
Important to learn from history don't you agree?

"Maybe we need to amalgamate the politics and the "fantasy stories" sections of the forum?
Basically the same thing these days.
I only report facts. Remainers are in their bunker denying what is obvious.
You're repeating opinions of Daily Express which have repeated the opinions of the Bild. If that's what you consider "facts", then fair play to you.
I haven't looked at the Express, it was actually reported in the Times this morning....
Assuming that's true, then:
You're repeating opinions of Times which have repeated the opinions of the Bild. If that's what you consider "facts", then fair play to you.
You really don't have to assume anything. I'm known for my straight shooting.

You might be known for your straight shooting somewhere. But here you have a very loose relationship with the truth. As evidenced by this thread, and you taking third hand opinions as fact.
To answer your question, I have no opinion on the opinions printed in the Times, of the opinions printed in the Bilt of the opinion of German people on the city of Brussels. Hope that clarifies my position. |

You seem to be the lone leave voter voice on here. The rest have realised that Brexit has been a disaster and you are desperately trying to deflect the clusterfuck by making hilarious claims that the EU is about to end . It is like watching a child on Xmas morning opening the presents they have been waiting 25 years for to suddenly realise it’s a box full of shit and then getting upset with Santa because this isn’t the present they were promised. The EU don’t care about you and the UK, it’s time to start blaming your misery on someone else. Farage is still using illegal immigrants and now China as the scapegoat, maybe you could do the same instead of trawling the news for any tiny anti EU stories . |

Then some people asking why the OP claimed his opinion, of an opinion, of an opinion, to be "fact".

Germany is currently in negotiations with other EU countries to give away excess vaccines now, due to lack of interest in the Astra zenica vaccine.... They shot themselves in the foot when they started spouting how bad it was, the citizens now will not have the Oxford AZ vaccine, so they have surplus. ![](/icons/s/2/eh.gif) |

"They dont like criticism of the eu on here.
It doesn’t bother me, the EU make mistakes all the time, there vaccine roll out has been a disaster . I just wish Chris could enjoy Brexit after all these years of misery he needs to sit back with some lobster abs stop worrying about the EU. Worrying behaviour well why are you always trying to dismiss any talk of the eu if it doesnt bother you? just ignore it and let people who want to still talk about it do so.After all they could be interested in it.
You can talk about anything you like I am a bit concerned your not enjoying Brexit as much as you should be . I realise life has been miserable for the last 25 years and it’s difficult to suddenly enjoy the joys of Brexit immediately but it is worrying that you are concentrating on the negatives of the EU instead of the positives of Brexit, unless you can only truly be happy if the EU suffers ? The sun is shining , the vaccine rollout is brilliant, lockdown is nearly over, try and be more positive .
The relentless Brexit good news may unfortunately obscure disasters occurring across the channel. Therefore I bring balance to the debate. "
There's been some brexit good news?
Why don't you post up some of that instead of this kind of rhubarb? |

Irrelevant , and again , another worrying statement . Go out and breath in some of that fresh Brexit air, go for a walk now you have your freedom or maybe join Farage at the beach , waving your fist at passing boats . The joys of Brexit are there, you just need to appreciate it |

Farage tweeted the other day about a boatload of asylum seekers all testing positive but no evidence. The official home office account slapped him down and said it wasn't true, no asylum seekers anywhere on the day in question tested positive. The racist dog whistle is still online though. |

"They dont like criticism of the eu on here.
Haven't seen any critisim of the EU on this thread.
Just the OPs opinion, of the Times's opinion, of the Bilt's opinion.
Then some people asking why the OP claimed his opinion, of an opinion, of an opinion, to be "fact".
I literally quoted the Bild editorial that was printed in the Times. My opinion doesn't come into it.
No need to get upset with me just because Brussels is making a complex arse of things. " ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |
