LONDON — Boris Johnson wants England’s current lockdown “to be the last” but warned he could offer no guarantees on a reopening of society that will have to be “cautious.”
The U.K. prime minister, who is expected to set out a “roadmap” for lifting coronavirus restrictions on February 22, said that while there are “grounds for confidence” with falling infection rates and more than 15 million people having received their first dose of a vaccine, any reopening of society and the economy will have to be gradual.

I think Boris has a poison Chalice here.
His right wing are pushing for quicker ending but the science is moving.
There are some signs unverified as yet that some of the variants are affecting younger people more than the original virus so younger people could start to increase in the hospital numbers .
That makes his choice a moving target.
If he lets us out too soon and the variants bite hard it will undermine the vaccination benefits.
I think he will be lead by the science this time rather than the money boys,

Nope. In Fact, he goes out of his way to say he wants it to be, but he will act with caution at all times and reverse it if necessary.
