Not to worry. We can sell loads of cheese to Japan. Obviously we have to wait until the EU have taken up their quota first because that is the deal that was agreed, and if they use all their quota there's none left for us but that might not be a problem. After all, Japan don't eat much dairy so the EU probably won't use all their allocation.

According to the article it's suppliers from the Republic that fill the dairy gap in Northern Ireland, no paper work or tax involved, so there's the good news.

Why didn't NI businesses source it from the south in the first place? Surely shipping was cheaper?

"We will just sell to Ghana

The cost of cheese in Ghana is crazy expensive due to the import charges.

Pizza Hut have already closed its doors in Takoradi, due to the high cost of its main ingredient.

Fooled you both with that one, hook, line and sinker.

It’s not a rollover deal, it’s all new, see midway down:

Really is childishly simple batting away your fatuous protests.

The EU has basically the same deal. So you're celebrating the square root of fuck all.

But I'm glad you think you fooled someone.

You’d better let the BBC know they’ve got it wrong then

The BBC are reporting on you thinking you've made a fool of someone?

In English?

Pretty sure that's English.

Alas I was just making fun, don't worry.

In anycase. Where were we?

Contrasting £2000 of cheese with £31 billion of a new trade deal with Japan.

It’s ok, we don’t need to discuss it, it’s clearly not even debatable. "

It’s not £2000 of cheese sales it’s actually £1m of annual sales for Rowcliffe’s

With the MD saying that there a likely to be redundancies as a result....

"What’s that worth, 2 grand a year? Yet when we sign a billion pound trade deal with a world economy you all whinge about how small it is.

Just lol.

When did that happen Chris?

£31 billion with Japan is one example.

The rollover deal? So we signed a deal that was the same as the old deal? Sounds a bit shit

I'm sure they can take comfort knowing we have the same trade deal with Japan they we would have had in the EU (without their job and financial losses).

It's sad that there will be redundancies for the people working in the UK.

However, I'd take the loss in trade to the company with a pinch of salt. They are Italian owned and have at least 2 bases inside the EU. What's that got to do with it I hear you ask. Well they'll will just go the long way round and bypass the UK. EU-EU aren't restricted, so no loss of trade.
