We currently waste 22.6 times that amount in the same period of time on purely domestic home food waste, (3.3 million tonnes).
So more the question is do we really need it?

The guardian article has nothing to do with Brexit chaos, it is due to the new system the EU will introduce on 1st July. Which in fact is open now for the UK to use as from 1st Jan, prior to it applying to the rest of the planet. |
