I had read about the uniformed person kneeling at his sons grave in Delaware for the duration of the inauguration - very poignant.
I know there is a great deal of speculation and humour around the contents of a note that the outgoing President left for Biden. Biden has said he doesn't want to share that until he has spoken with its author - I hope there will be an opportunity to find out so we can know what it is that Biden considers "very generous"

My husbands Father is American. He can trace his history back to The Hudson Bay Company. He has memorabilia that reaches back to Fort Boise 1 (the old fort).
It's just Stuff . . . but it's darned interesting Stuff. |

I genuinely hope it was gracious.
I've spent a lot of time in the states and I visited under three different presidents at times of economic boom and of economic downturn.
I was only there once during the Trump years. It was the weirdest time to be there. |

 Very much so. And while we are inclined at times to run off at mouth we also should remember that even Presidents are real people with real families. |
