Has been dusted and wound up.
"Doomsday Clock remains closest to midnight it has ever been for second year running
Scientists have cited the current pandemic as one of the reasons the clock has remained at 100 seconds, suggesting the threat of global apocalypse has not cooled off in the last year.
Rachel Bronson, president and chief executive of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, said the pandemic had revealed "just how unprepared and unwilling countries and the international system are to handle global emergencies properly".
"In this time of genuine crisis, governments around the world too often abdicated responsibility, ignored scientific advice, did not co-operate to communicate effectively and consequently failed to protect health and welfare of their citizens," she said.
The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists was co-founded by Albert Einstein, and two years later the group created the Doomsday Clock to look at threats to humanity and the planet.
The clock is set every year by experts including 13 Nobel laureates. "

Not sure what we’re meant to debate on this topic.
However this bit applies perfectly to our own government. They fit the bill perfectly.

Not doomsday, just evolution. Earth will still rotate, the sun will still rise even with no humans here. Many creatures unaffected by humans failure will most probably think good riddance to humans. |
