What happened? Where is the massive uprising and protest that the FBI warned of?
Has it been effective policing to stop it happening? Or have Donald's MAGA followers finally accepted the truth?
Or is it something more sinister and they are trying to lull the authorities into a false sense of closure? |

The tangerine incredible sulk wants to start a new political party called the Patriot Party ...
What a great way to split the Republican Party and appeal to the far right gun toting militia loons and senator like Ted Cruz who thinks the Paris Climate accord is only to do with people who live in Paris.
Maybe he was thinking of Paris in the state of Texas.

The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has released its annual report on patterns in global arms transfers and the winner is – the United States of America. For the period from 2015 to 2019, the U.S. accounted for 36% of the trade in major conventional weaponry, a 23% increase from the prior five-year period, and well ahead of the second largest supplier, Russia, which accounted for 21% of the trade.

1. Who shall we sell them too?
2. Shall we stop our arms industry?
Perhaps just not sell them to.countries investigated for war crimes
By this admission it sounds like you're ok with us having weapons but no one else??
Maybe you're more of a Tory than you think Lionel
Erm...did I say that?
It's really not rocket science
Dont go round selling weapons to countries being investigated for war crimes."
So countries who have been or are being investigated for war crimes should not own weapons?? |

"The tangerine incredible sulk wants to start a new political party called the Patriot Party ...
What a great way to split the Republican Party and appeal to the far right gun toting militia loons and senator like Ted Cruz who thinks the Paris Climate accord is only to do with people who live in Paris.
Maybe he was thinking of Paris in the state of Texas.
Withdrawing support for Saudi
Queue furious backpeddling,again,in Westminster.
Ah All Boris's fault.
Did I say that?
Well Boris by proxy is the head of Westminster. So. Yes you did say that.
We have been selling arms tiba murderous regime for years
So. Who shall we sell them to?
Shall we stop our arms industry?
You have no problem with selling weapons to repressive regimes who wipe out innocent people?
Sound
No more giving lectures to the likes of Iran and Russia.
Innocent people die in every war.
But answer my questions?

I think if we are selling weapons to a country..who are currently being investigated for war crimes.. should make us think twice
Or alternatively sell to whoever we want..but lost that moral high ground which we so treasure. |

Including the UK then.
Anything on this Lionel?
Do we sell them to ourselves?
"
Yes of course we do. There are at least 30 Major Arms Manufacturers in the UK - Not including Royal Ordnance (and they are paid to make arms, and sold to the government by manufacturing contract)
And the UK has been investigated for War Crimes. |

I sit on no moral hill.
If someone is selling and someone is buying. If they do a deal then they do a deal. Nothing to do with me. |

So you saying that anything that a country produces is their responsibility ? I have no issues with weapons. We can add a virus to that list too. |

Indeed, we should - but only when we can honestly say that we aren't either.
We live in a world of lesser evils and alliances, and wars by proxy, The whole of the Cold War was war by proxy in a dozen countries all over the world. We were as much as part of that as any arms selling western country ever was.
We sold weapons to rebels fighting sadam - but we also sold them to sadam beforehand, we have also sold weapons to the rebels to fight the rebels we sold them to to fight sadam (keeping up).
It's fine having a 'end all wars' ethos. Sadly and pragmatically that world will come and shoot and bomb you while are offering a hand of friendship and smiling at them.
Corby, wouldn't even say if he would press the button, Corby would have taken us all to oblivion if that need had ever arisen.

There is no conventional wars no more. It's all asymmetrical. Close quarters no standing armies in open field combat. |

I always found it a bit strange that not wanting to obliterate the human race was seen as a bad thing
Mostly I agree though.
We pick and choose who the good guys are(the ones we do business with)and the ones we dont.
Maybe its realpolitik but the hypocrisy leaves a sour taste. |
