Looks like the prime arsehole is going to get his own leadership challenge soon.
Why do the tories think that changing the deck chairs on the titanic is going to change anything. They still are going to be a bunch of pricks whether he is leader or not. |

"Well, with a surname like that, I am sure he will drag in the necessary votes.
Seriously though, possibly a testing of the waters if everything goes tits up. "
Enough to send letters to the 1922 committee, honestly the tories are the party of backstabbers. |

Might be better if you had either a name or evidence!
Because at the moment, you have neither. Just an unhealthy hatred of Conservatives. |

Actually Steve baker, I thought it was a another Tory twat, but then again they are just as bad as each another, they are getting peeved at Covid restrictions, the Tory party is full of rat faced arseholes.
If they are happy to be twats to their own colleagues, then what chance does the rest of the UK have?
I would never trust them to do a good job, they are lazy and incompetent. Hard work to them is something someone else does for them, then they blame everyone else for their own stupidity.

Just to put your mind at rest, there is no leadership challenge from Steve Baker, or anyone else. |

Between Chichester and Havant |
This happened yesterday afternoon and was withdrawn two hours later. I think overall there were three letters to the 1922 committee. You're correct in saying it was Steve baker as the main protagonist. He was protesting, again, at the lockdown. As he did before Christmas at the tiers.
I actually would like to know how others would have handled the pandemic? It's easy to sit opposite and criticise with hindsight and yes, many things were done and still being done wrongly. Would others have handled it any differently? We will never know, all speculation. We are better than some countries and worse than others. You can blame the Tories, but would labour have done it differently? Quite possibly, but that's not to say the results would be similar. We are densely populated with a high proportion of elderly. As I say easy with hindsight and from across the chamber criticising with no responsibility. |

"Yes i saw mr stating the bleeding obvious sir KS yesterday saying we need to speed up the vaccine program nothing on how he would do this just we need to speed it up. no shit sherlock.
Maybe he shouldn't be allowed to comment and just let them them continue with their current car crash?"
Maybe he's a bit miffed than the Midlands and the North are making a better job of the vaccine roll out than London |

Maybe when Labour do actually make suggestions, they are simply not good enough.
E.g - Labour MP suggesting that the government vaccination plan should prioritise 'disenfranchised' prisoners ahead of the elderly and infirm, as it would be 'good for public health'.

The letter from Steve Baker was to fellow Conservative MPs, not to the 1922 committee.
He was acting as leader of the ERG group. |

She also mentioned people who work in prisons aswell being in a high risk environment..warders.caterig staff etc but you choose not too mention that. |

I was being kind by only mentioning one bad suggestion... as you've taken up the mantle and highlighted another, perhaps you could confirm, as all these suggestions appear to move the vaccine priority away from the old and infirm, if Labour have a dislike for this particular group of people? |

I also find it a bit strange that she said schools, hospitals and care home were also high risk environments..yet despite naming 4 settings, you choose to pick out just 1.
Why is that I wonder?
Presumably there are no old people in care homes or hospitals?
1 person now represents the entire party now?
Right..so I'll be sure too keep quiet the next time some Tory loon opens their mouth.

Steve Barker is barking mad, who in there right mind would even think of making a challenge to the leadership at a time like this, covid going on & the effects that will have further down the line. No one knows how things will be now we’re out of the EU bad or good. My money would be on that Boris will resign sooner than we think & certainly before a credible leadership challenge takes place. Exact words as follows
'Prisons are a high risk setting for transmission aswell as schools, hospitals and nursing homes'
I'll ask again
Are old and infirm people not in those last 2 locations? |

You're doing it again Lionel - you are making an argument out of something, deflecting, on comments I haven't actually made.
The JCVI plan being used by the government is very clearly laid out - if there is an 80 year old prisoner, then I am sure they will be vaccinated according to the plan, in the same way an 80 year old on the outside will be vaccinated.
But thats not what the Labour MP suggested - what was suggested was that all 'disenfranchised' prisoners should be prioritised ahead of the old and infirm.
I'm sure the MP asked lots of other questions, made lots of other points and thats ok, however what stands out is the suggestion mentioned above.
Whats your comment on that suggestion?

No.
I'm not deflecting.
The mp made a statement.
You have picked 1 part out of that statement (prosoners)and chosen to ignore the rest of the statement (nursing homes, hospitals)
Your exact works were "prioritise prisoners over the old and infirm '
She has put prisons in the same category as hospitals and nursing homes, which, unless im mistaken, contains those 2 groups |

Of course I pinpointed one part of the contribution - it was a bad suggestion - and I wanted to highlight that Labour make bad suggestions .
I'm sure however some may argue, there is no such thing as a bad idea or suggestion . |
