There is trouble ahead for sure. There are suggestions of a civil war. My guess it is more likely to solidify into domestic terrorism, of the Oklahoma City bombing type in 1995.

They’re dammed if they do and dammed if they don’t.

Impeach or 25th amendment, his supporters (especially Q) will then immediately claim the ‘deep state’ did commit election fraud and kicked him out as he was getting to the bottom of it.

Don’t, then you give a future POTUS the opportunity to do it again and be equally or even more corrupt next time.

Either way half of the electorate aren’t going to be happy when he finally leaves the White House.

I think Biden will let it go and hope that the endless legal issues Trump has in the near future, resolves the problem for him.

The media have riled this up more then Trump.

Before COVID he was the most successful US president ever in terms of stats.

Most jobs created

Least homelessness

Least amount of unemployment (%)

Least amount of terror attacks on home soil

Never started a war (when was last time you

Could say that about a president?)

Keep reading the guardian and watching sky news ns ignore the facts.

So you're saying that he benefited from the upturn created by the previous administration. Then a couple of half truths, then some blatant misinformation.

America is a wreck at the moment. Near constant rioting, pandering to corporations (even more than usual), corruption and lying normalised ("alternative facts" etc). All on his watch. Not to mention him pulling out of the Paris Climate agreement. Drilling for oil on indigenous lands.

They're a divided nation, and Trump played a leading role in creating the division.

Here are the only important facts right now, he lost the 2020 election, he claimed it was due to voter fraud that was never proved, he failed to concede, he incited the violence at the Capitol that killed 5 people, he will get impeached again, he won’t be attending Bidens inauguration.

He may have managed not to start any new wars during his four years at the helm/golf course.

But the number of bombs dropped was ramped up. Boeing shareholders have been well served by the outgoing administration.

Don’t take this as a defence of Trump because it’s not but exactly the same could be said of Obama’s presidency.

It's rarely the population that have an appetite for war.

Wars are for the benefit of the oil industry and arms manufacturers alone.

Obama entered america into military conflict with syria, lybia, south sudan, somalia and yemen. Bailed out banks to the tune of trillions....and won a peace prize. Greatest president ever! Biden as VP and hitlery killton as SOS. The absolute dream team of global politics. (Not) looking forward to Iran's destruction and more syria shenanigans over the next 4 years (3.5 of them under president Harris)...

Correct!! And any one of the presidents from the end of WW2 up to now could've declared themselves out. The 'peace president' ramped up the middle east trouble as much as jnr Bush. Obama had 8 years to wind back on the middle east/war in general but instead opted to be at war for every single day of his presidency. I just don't understand why anyone can get behind a leader (left or right) that murders men, women and children of any race, colour or religion. It's somehow NOT terrorism when our man does it eh?

Wise up people....they are all violent and destructive gangsters.

Supporting and championing any of them just makes you look stupid and that you've lost all critical thought. Left, right or centre.

Hurting trump where it hurts, hes not going to like this.

The organizers of the PGA Championship canceled plans to hold the event at President Donald Trump’s Bedminster, N.J., golf club in 2022 in the wake of last week’s Trump-inspired riot at the U.S. Capitol.

I think if we started by 'leaving other people the fuck alone' we would have something to build on. Never gonna be the case tho. Big business, big politics, big military, big egos, big gangsterism and small mindedness will see to it that we don't have a chance. Doesn't matter who's in the white house or No10 etc....the house always wins. Look after yourself and the people who matter to you and let everyone else do the same.

"The media have riled this up more then Trump.

Let's not forget...

Most lies told

Highest increase in the deficit

Most insurrections against democracy started.

There are plenty of other failures of Trump, economic and other, but I thought I'd start with these. "

you forgot 15 miles of new wall on the mexican border

Before Covid the US did well as posted, and ok not very democratic but he was not all bad.

However he should go to prison for his current actions.

It seems to me that people only see bad in him or good well neither are true and both those views are wrong and people should look closer at his 4 years in office.A bbaenced and well argued view would look better

Not very democratic but not all bad

If you are going to argue he did some good because of the economic factors you mention (and I'd have to check if they are actually accurate) then you would have to say what you think HE did to bring them about.

He inherited a booming economy from Obama. Growth continued but did actually slow under Trump. How do you argue that his actions were the cause of the factors you list? Maybe he simply didn't change anything that the previous administration put in place to make the economy so good. He may not have ballsed up the economy until his debacle of handling the pandemic, but that's not the same thing as actually being responsible for a good economy.

So do tell. What decisions did he make and what actions did he take in the already successful economy that caused them to be the way they were that would have been different if Obama had continued or Hillary Clinton took over?

Incidentally, since you mention war, he pulled out of the Iran treaty which has directly led to Iran starting up its uranium enrichment program so they can have a nuclear bomb. He tried to start a war with them too. It was only Iran's restraint that cooled things down. It sure as hell wasn't Trump, who was itching for a fight. So we may not have war, but we came close and the world is now more dangerous as a direct result of his actions.

"Before COVID he was the most successful US president ever in terms of stats."

Here are some facts:

Most jobs created - This is a misleading claim put around by Trump. Even not counting Covid, any job gains have been undermined by job losses in these past years. Overall it seems to be a worse record than Obama's.

Least homelessness - It's widely agreed that homelessness in the US has been under-reported, but as with other things, Trump doesn't seem to have done anything to help the situation apart from attacking Democratic governors. He certainly put no new federal funds to the problem nor provided any plan.

Least amount of unemployment - When you look at a line chart comparing the record of Bush, Obama and Trump it's clear the numbers was lowering as part of Obama's policies and then went up under Trump.

Least amount of terror attacks on home soil - I think you mean numbers not amount, but what do you call that on Wednesday in Washington and around the country? And all the other white supremacist shootings and pipe bomb incidents mostly caused by unhinged Trump supporters? Just because nobody flew into a building doesn't mean there weren't attacks. Trump forced the justice department to foreground "Antifa" and "radical Islamic" extremism than home grown white supremacist terrorism, which has always been more of a problem.

Never started a war (when was last time you Could say that about a president?) - Obama, who came to office with two needless wars still going on. Of "recent" presidents, Nixon, Ford and Carter never started a war.

The truth is that he's done very little for the US. Despite what he and his enablers say, Trump's approach to his job has all been about tax cuts for the rich, tweeting, lying and golfing. Whenever an important issue appeared, such as the Black Lives Matter issue or Covid, he's preferred to ignore things - anything else would have required him to do some work.

Belpre

Your absolutely correct. Unless your wealthy and powerful, for everyone else trump was an absantee president, because he doesn't care for regular people in the least. He thinks we are all beneath him, when in fact, he and his adult children are far beneath us in every way that counts.
