It all could have been avoided its just napoleon flexing his power.Any leader with an once of sense would have held them the other side gave them the 30 min test and got them on their way.Plenty of time before the next ferry rolled up they would have all been in their cabs and not mixing.that idiot has kept them in the south where this new strain is more widespread for days and all mingeling.total dickhead. |

Isreal have done exactly the same.. yet weirdly there is no condemnation of them.
If france had an outbreak, you can just imagine the reaction on here,if we kept our borders open.
The blame the eu for every tiny thing is just cringeworthy
No wonder they cant wait to see the back of us. |

1. The EU didn't close the Borders. The Individual countries did.
2. The EU want us VERY much to stay.
3. If the French dared to close the borders out of France there would be riots from the Truckers not just Protests!
French workers have always been far more 'reactive' than many other countries workers.

Let's gets this straight..we find a new strain of covid..we decide to keep it under wraps for a few weeks.
When we do decide to tell everyone, the world and its wife shuts its borders.
There are queues at the border and we are spectacularly, unprepared.
And in the esteemed minds of this forum its somehow france,s fault.
Even for here..wow.. I salute you all.
You take delusion to a totally new level.
Well done. |

it was reported to WHO the moment it was confirmed by Porton Down
The African variant was reported two weeks ago too.
You can keep abreast of the news by reading more than one outlet (and many that aren't news outlets).

To Highlight . . .
A new variant of the virus causing Covid-19, first spotted in Kent, could already be circulating - or have originated from - outside the UK.
But it was spotted here because of the strength of the UK's surveillance system, scientists have said. |

He took power with 52% of the vote. He has 40% approval rating right now. That's a loss of just 12% of his supporters. In times like these most would say that's a fucking miracle.

What's the general beef that the British right wing media have with Macron, what's he done that winds them up?
He's just a bog standard leader, probably not as bad as Boris, but certainly nothing to write home about. |

He serves some of same function as Sturgeon and Merkel, a distraction from the UK's headless government. The Irish government served this role when May was at the helm. |

"so are you?
English Have you a dislike of french and germans then?
None what so ever.Well you just said the British have a particular dislike of them so you must have if you are English.
You realise I didnt say..every single english person hates the german and French.
There is a strain of anti European..specifically french and german feeling here..there has been for years. You can see it in the media (hence the link I posted)and it trickles down to its readership(look at the behaviour of England fans when they play in Europe?
Jesus you can't equate the sentiment of a Nation by using its football fans.
13 million tourists from the UK go to France each year.
Fans are a tiny percentage of that.
So you dont think there is any anti German/French feeling in this country?
What about that link I posted?"
Of course there is - but it's NOT 'the British People. It's a tiny percentage just like the football fans (who have no place in the conversation at all. |

Nothing to do with what I just said.
But a lot to do with how you understand the way news works.
It has a daily readership of just 126,879.
Hardly the influencer.
There are influencer on Youtube that have 12 million followers. And they promo NIKE |

A good friend of mine hates the French. He says most of his friends where he used to live feel the same way.
He's German, by the way. |
