BoJo ready for no deal?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Twelve months ago boris told us how the UK was fully ready for no deal, 1st January 2019. Now here we go, a full year later, we really are ready now... Oops, latest news, the Johnson Memorial Kent lorry park to prevent all of south east England going into gridlock? Won't be finished until February at the earliest
Defeffel masterminding the position in the world for the new, free, sovereign United Kingdom - he can't even get a bloody car park built on time! |

Boris is doing a good job of fooling you and the eu, he has convinced them that he is very happy with no deal. Now he is sending parliament home on Thursday just to send another message he is not bothered.
A deal is on its way and boris is playing them at their own game. |

Laughable, considering what the Conservative party have been doing since the start of the year.
I'm pretty sure non of the 'freeloaders' know who you are let alone want to rub your nose in it! Where the hell have you got that attitude from? |

You don't care about the consequences because you got what you wanted! Do I really have to explain why that's selfish? When you voted did you think of me then and consider what i might like? I would hazard a guess the answer is no you voteed for what you wanted does that make you selfish or are you just using your democratic right?
Would my vote cause economic harm to you.....NO.Thats your opinion keeping me locked into shrinking market i would say in the future yes.
Your opinion that is backed up by nothing. Plenty of economist and government studies back me up this is perhaps the reason you say you don't are about a deal.
Don't care*Its ok i understood im not that childish to pick you up on a misspelling my grandkids text me and i can work this text speak out.
You voted to make them poorer, nice one.Nope im sure they will get a good education work hard and do well.
That doesn't matter they are bound to be poorer as a knock on of Brexit we all will be, how did you children or child vote? Same as me. You are very negative and yes you will be poorer with that attitude, you're a young guy get out and make something of yourself brexit will open up whole new opportunity's but you wont find them sitting on here crying over losing a vote 4 years ago. "
What's attitude got to do with it? every credible economic forecast says Brexit will make the UK poorer, being positive or having a half full glass won't change that but it's all you lot come out with these days, it's frankly embarrassing. |

A deal is on its way and boris is playing them at their own game.

Why do you need to know the exact amount per week that we will be poorer?
What amount poorer per week will make brexit a success?

So brexit is a success because someone on a swinging forum who doesn't know anything about you can't tell you exactly how much you're going to be worse off.
That's as strong a pro brexit argument as I've heard. |

https://www.independent.co.uk/money/spend-save/brexit-cost-uk-taxpayers-household-economy-leave-eu-oecd-a8780306.htmlIt is because ive ask you a simple question and you cant even answer me all you can do is post a link to a newspaper article. So someone tells you that you are £1500 down from FORECASTS made and that has made you poorer? You do know that nothing has changed yet until dec 31st .How have you lost this money where was it coming from?
You are asking for something impossible on purpose, I think you know fine well what's going to happen.
The Independent article wasn't a forecast either! Did you actually get past the headline?Yes i did i suggest you read it again or would you like me to cut and paste it. Its a simple question you are telling me you are worse off i want to know how because im not."
You know fine well this is impossible to answer. Have you found a forecast that say Brexit won't be harmful?
The Independent says, " Compared to Pre Brexit forecasts" so it's not a forecast its a comparison.

"Boris is doing a good job of fooling you and the eu, he has convinced them that he is very happy with no deal. Now he is sending parliament home on Thursday just to send another message he is not bothered.
A deal is on its way and boris is playing them at their own game.
I thought you were happy with a no deal? I really hope we get a deal though, a no deal would be a disaster I told you before im not worried either way those freeloaders in brussels are not lording it over me on my taxes anymore thats what i voted for.
But you have absolutely no idea what deal we could end up with? Nope and dont care as i have told you before ive got what i wanted im happy whatever way it goes now.
The response of a selfish child. Are you honestly in your 60s?Whats selfish about it ? i had my reasons for wanting to leave and i have got exactly what i voted for.
What's attitude got to do with it? every credible economic forecast says Brexit will make the UK poorer, being positive or having a half full glass won't change that but it's all you lot come out with these days, it's frankly embarrassing. Tell me exactly how much a week you are going to be poorer and how?

This is hopeless, I might as well go and talk to a wall. As I've said several times, all credible economic forecasts including government ones say Brexit with a deal or no deal will see us financially worse off.
but here's an article for you to read:
https://www.independent.co.uk/money/spend-save/brexit-cost-uk-taxpayers-household-economy-leave-eu-oecd-a8780306.htmlIt is because ive ask you a simple question and you cant even answer me all you can do is post a link to a newspaper article.
Its a simple question you are telling me you are worse off i want to know how because im not.
So brexit is a success because someone on a swinging forum who doesn't know anything about you can't tell you exactly how much you're going to be worse off.
That's as strong a pro brexit argument as I've heard.Well you are the one who has said you are going to be worse off countless times not me.I thought by the amount of times you mention it you would know, but obviously not."
The people we’ve made redundant as their jobs are now being moved to inside the EU are definitely worse off . I’m worse off as we’ve lost exports due to congestion, hauliers refusing to come to the U.K. and we will lose due to customs costs from tomorrow. They are facts not forecasts.
Not sure if we will get our VAT back so a possible loss there too.
If you travel as you say you do, your pound is weaker so you are indeed worse off! But maybe you’re not going to travel anymore which will mean I’m wrong.
Unless of course you have a special currency rate ?
The grocer online group has some interesting facts too. Feel free to read up as I’m biased so you won’t believe me.

There isn't a trade deal with India.
There is one in the pipeline.. but it's going to take several years apparently. "
Going to try and be pushed tbrough next year.

"The U.K. already trades with India "
We do. Under the indo-EU bilateral trade deal.
Sadly people voted to bin it along with all the other deals we had. |

Actually the main reason is just for fun.
I like watching leavers grasping at straws trying to justify their vote no matter how shit brexit is. Or I like it when they bustout one of the following.
1. Complete refusal to acknowledge reality.
2. Suggesting remainers should fuck off out of the country (even though they voted to remove freedom of movement).
3. Trying to justify lowing safety standards, human rights, etc etc.
4. And I am enjoying watching leavers celebrate as we manage to not lose some of the trade deals. As if it was some huge victory. |
