"In my opinion I think the Tories will topple him before the next GE.
Thoughts?"
I think he'll just leave before then under his own steam. He doesn't seeem to like the job and he wants to get easy money elsewhere. |

Very true, Quite sure he was making more money for his column in the telegraph plus less stress also I'd imagine he would actually want to spend time with his newborn. |

"There would be a lot of tears on this forum with all the Boris and Tory fans.
Shame lolI dont think so mate people usually vote for a party and its policies."
Disagree on that - Look how much better the Labour party are performing and are perceived under Starmer compared to the previous idiot. |

"There would be a lot of tears on this forum with all the Boris and Tory fans.
Shame lol" As already said , most people vote for a party, not its leader . Were Boris to resign , most party supporters would simply accept that he did a great job in winning the election and a new leader would be elected . People look to the future , not the past. It would be an opportunity for Michael Gove , Dominic Raab , Priti Patel or the current chancellor to shine. Plenty of good candidates and plenty of diversity as well. No wonder the Conservatives are in power. The reprsent a vast cross section of society , as opposed to other parties which represent the London based white middle class elite. The various posts by champagne socialists on here show how removed some socialists are from reality . |

There were benefits to being in the EU but on balance he came down on the side of leave, like over 17 million voters.

He writes 2 pieces for the spectator.
One for and against.
After much deliberation and the use of his crystal ball,he goes for leave as he knows for a fact ,it will he beneficial to the country
Nothing whatsoever to do with political opportunism.

The gmnt were pushed into a minority gmnt
Quite an achievement for an 'idiot'
Yes but he didnt have an opponent, she went AWOL look what happened in 2019 when he took on Boris someone you say is useless and an idiot, jc sat on the brexit fence so long he must have got piles
What should he have done?
Told voters what he believed in.
So if Corbyn had have said..I want to leave, they would have won the election?
We will never know for sure but think he would have done a lot better
A big chunk..possibly Thw majority of labour voters wanted to stay.
He could potentially have lost this support.
Even you dont believe that, labour lost 55 seats that voted leave in 2016 and gained one that voted remain, voters though corbyn would go back on the 16 vote so dumped him for the Tories who were clear,
Erm..isnt that what I said?
If he would have backed leave he could have retained the red wall but potentially have list the remain vote.
He wouldnt say what he would do but the likes of starmer etc were hinting they would dump the 16 vote, if the majority wanted to stay they would have voted labour or liberal but no they voted blue you only had to see the news to hear from life long labour voters that they didnt trust corbyn to ensure we left and they did the unthinkable and voted Tory "
Plenty trusted him in 2017
Labour were in a no win situation over Brexit and the tories knew that.
Which is why they tried to make the election about the NHS,low wages etc
However enough people believed the only thing that mattered was to get brexit done |

"There would be a lot of tears on this forum with all the Boris and Tory fans.
Shame lolI dont think so mate people usually vote for a party and its policies.
Disagree on that - Look how much better the Labour party are performing and are perceived under Starmer compared to the previous idiot.
You mean when they got their biggest increase ,in the share of a vote, since ckekemt atlee in 1945,in 2017?
Who won that election?
