Vienna Attacks

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Following on from the 5 Islamic terror attacks in France, last night we have had multiple attacks mainly in a Jewish suburb in Austria

It is so far known that there was 5 attacks all at different locations including a synagogue and the hilton Hotel.

Videos emerging are horrifying with islamists shooting random walkers and opening fire Inside a restaurant

As with the France islamist it has been reported that 2 or the 5 attackers came through the italy route only 5 weeks ago as refugees. As of this morning the Vienna minister has said there is still "at least" one at large and all schools will not open in fear of more attacks.

The threat of a terrorist attack has never gone away.

It will continue to happen.

"Its under control now as far as im aware the police have most in custody or have killed them"

No doubt there will be associates they haven't yet been linked. There is a lot of hate with many Islamists over the cartoon issue and its creating even more with some to put things into action and there is little we can do to prevent it.

"Why Austria?"

Possibly the siege of Vienna

Thats where the Ottoman Empires

Were defeated .

Which as it happens also led to the forming of the Austro-Hungarian Empire began .

It ended pretty much after

Franz Ferdinand got Shot in

June 1914 & started the Great War

You have to wonder who/what put so much hatred into someone's mind to make them go out and kill a total stranger.

I think dehumanising the people who do this, doesn't help at all.

Us and America set the middle east on fire and walked away.

To not expect any resentment from that, is naive in the extreme.

However the attacks in France seem more to do with free speech.

I dont think there any any easy answers sadly.

I think you have a point its not the country they target it was alternative religions who can be identified. They didn't pick on political buildings after all. Its the way of the bully/oppressor to pick on the vulnerable.

True the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful and against violence its not fair to think they are all in favour of terrorism.

Its incredibly naive to think what happened in Iraq and Afghanistan has not left a legacy of bitterness and hatred.

How many times were we attached prior to 1991?

What I said however was the recent attacks seemed more to do with free speech,ie that cartoon in France

yes I accept what happened then as made things worse in the west with attacks but the hatred for the west goes back before then terrorists weren’t invented after Iraq the Middle East as always been a fuck up

Sadly that's the way he does politics he has had the same attitude with the British fishing rights. Saying that you can't cow down to religious militants so dammed what ever you do.
