I don't need to watch any weird conspiracy TV programs to think there might be something a bit fishy going on here. I keep saying it. I am glad I am 59 and not 19. Had some great times and can look back on life as generally being pretty good really. If I was 19 and just about to start out now I would be a lot less certain but....... it was pretty dire back then in 1980. A career in a dying heavy industry seemed to be the only way forward.

I did have to make some very tough decisions with my life against a back drop of millions of unemployed and before the digital revolution and big bang came along.

Perhaps it's not so different to back then when I think about it.
