Farage and Covid

Farage has emerged from underneath Trump to announce he is forming a new party to oppose Covid restrictions.
It appears he is not satisfied in trashing the economy through Brexit, but now wants to be the standard bearer for the covididiots. |

Just an extension of his anti-information, and anti-science side of his platform.

A potentially interesting side effect of this could be the people who are in just one part of the Brexit Vs Covid-denier Venn diagram.
IE, the people who think brexit is a good idea, but who DO understand about Covid.
I wonder what they will make of this move.

He is cult leader, certain people will believe anything he says . If he can convince his followers that Brexit will benefit anyone but the rich then he can convince them that COVID restrictions don’t work |

Weird how he was in America last week visiting the shady Steve Bannon founded World4Brexit organisation and this week here he is flush with funds setting up a new party on another divisive issue.
It's almost as if he is working to a master plan and wants to create even more turmoil and drive this country further apart.

Indeed.
I was asking the person who "won't support him on this one"
I'm genuinely curious for an insight to someone who used to support him, but doesn't on this issue. Or vice versa. |

Jeez, the guy is infuriating.
Too much of a cult following to ever be irrelevant.
Too little liked to ever get into power and be directly accountable.
Forever a pressure politician, who'll never shoulder responsibility. |

It's perfectly acceptable to agree with his brexit party but disagree with this new party. Just because its the same person does not mean you have to agree with everything they say. If this is his only policy I hope he fails. On other threads people mention the benefits of the PR voting system which I mostly agree with but be aware farage with ukip and brexit party was very successful under that system |

Of course it's acceptable to like his stance on one thing and not the other.
It's just interesting that both his positions (Brexit and anti covid measures) are based on misinformation and are for the benefit of his sponsors.

"so his payslips from the eu have stopped theres a chance Trump may be out of power so he's gonna fleece more gullible idiots of there £25 membership fee of his new "party" to fund his life style him and "are Tommeh",realy have got the gullible fools easily parting with theyre money system stitched up .nearly as good as the TV evangelists over the pond
I love the way he was portrayed as some sort of "man of the people'
He is cult leader, certain people will believe anything he says . If he can convince his followers that Brexit will benefit anyone but the rich then he can convince them that COVID restrictions don’t work Do not think so they are not related"
They're not related. But it's a good comparrison. Both based on misinformation, both praying on people easily suggestible. |

"Farage has emerged from underneath Trump to announce he is forming a new party to oppose Covid restrictions.
It appears he is not satisfied in trashing the economy through Brexit, but now wants to be the standard bearer for the covididiots.Well will not support him on this one
Are you in favour of Brexit and against his anti lockdown agenda
Or
Are you against brexit and in favour of his anti lockdown agenda?
Neither, I just think he's a knob
Indeed.
I was asking the person who "won't support him on this one"
I'm genuinely curious for an insight to someone who used to support him, but doesn't on this issue. Or vice versa.I dont think people support people for the sake of it they support them because they have the same goals .That does not mean they support them no matter what.
Well exactly.
That's what I'm interested in. For example, someone who thinks Brexit is a GOOD idea. Yet isn't in favour of his new stance.me.
Excellent.
I mean maybe you don't care about any of it. But what do you think about his new agenda. Why is he doing it, does he genuinely believe in it, or is it just to make money out of donors etc. I have no idea, i agreed with his stance on brexit but was never a ukip supporter.I dont agree with his new stance. As i said its possible to agree with things people say but it doesnt mean you have to follow them with blind faith.Im sure a lot of corbyn supporters agreed with his nationalization programme but dont follow his anti-Semitic views.
Fair enough, do you believe in his ‘version’ of Brexit though? what is his version of brexit? as he has nothing to do with negotiations its irrelevant anyway."
Oh dear You are lost |

Got to keep money coming in, with the risk that he'll be less welcome in the USA. Tragically there may be enough gullible people here who are willing to risk the health and lives of others who will buy his snake oil |
