Good luck sir for the next 48+ hours.
I’m sure it's going to be a fantastic few days of coverage, analysis and discussion.
Do you have a carefully planned schedule - with suitable time for the local greasy spoon and drive through dunkin? And it would of course be remiss of me not to ask if this is a snuggie occasion or something a little more formal ?

"I'll follow this thread. Or whatever threads he starts.
I still think the current incumbent will win again."
It will be one of them old men who does. It would be far better if Jay Leno went for it at least we would get an old man with a decent car parked outside the whitehouse. |

Wasn't interested in this election until they said the campaign moved to the swing states.

There's SWING states!!! I'm in. Let's go! |

Okay... I have to say this thread made me laugh when I friend sent me a text telling me to come online..... lol
To answer some of the questions....
I have a planned schedule..... pizza as late as I can order on Tuesday night
I have a whole election thread planned trying to give people a cheat sheet as to what races to look for in all 3 sets of election
All I have planned for Wednesday is a greasy spoon run in the morning ... and a last Toby meal probably for dinner (Half price this week Monday to Wednesday since I assume they will be closed as of Thursday)
As for my attire, it will be snuggie... lol I have cleared the house of alcohol just in case the results go pear shaped....
Do we think I would get away with posting a general thread on the forums as the tradition... an ask me anything.....
Or do we keep it on the politics forum for all the political wonks out there |

All hail the snuggie - glad to hear it is a snuggie occasion (i won't press you for a photo )
Would be good if an ask me anything/cheat sheet can be allowed to live in the Lounge. I'm sure there will be plenty of folks who would find it helpful and informative.
Enjoy (if that's the right word) the next few days |

Cool... I might do 2 threads... a presidential race ask me anything for the lounge.... and a full blown elections thread covering all 3 sets of national elections for the politics forum..... do you reckon we could get away with that?
During the Obama elections nights it was very much a Sunday church suit occasion.... last time I drank alcohol as the grim reality sank in, hence no alcohol this time....so this time I am going with snuggie |

I think what he was trying to say “nicely” is that the US will look to mending relations with the EU first and probably try and get a trade deal done in that direction to begin with... and that breaking international law with regards to border controls and Ireland would probably be seen dimly by a new Biden administration.....
Your UK-US trade may go on the back burner in Washington...... in a weird way it may force johnson back to the eu trade talks... |

2 versions - like a Lounge PG version and a full-blown 18R politically rated, directors cut version for the wonks
Sounds reasonable - what's the worst that can happen - the Mods move it and those that are interested will follow it.

Voter turnout tomorrow is going to decide. You have to take in consideration that the majority of them voting in person will probably be Trump supporters. |

If Biden does win Georgia, it will thanks to a lady called Stacy Abrams who has done so much to fight voter suppression in Georgia. Similarly Beto o'Rourke's run at Ted Cruz in 2018 laid the ground work for Biden's campaign in Texas. I do think Trump will lose Wisconsin (thank you covid) Florida again will be where it's won or lost. Biden has a good lead in the polls in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. |

I want Trump to win but I can be biased. If the voter turnout here is high for in person tomorrow it might be different. Trump comming here today if he says something about the rain tax. He should win this county. If he is smart he should play that card. |

Abrams in Georgia, Beto in Texas and gillum in Florida should all be thanked for their get out the vote operations in those states that the Biden and DNC have taken advantage of....
It will be interesting if Abrams wants a role in a Biden administration... or if she will hang about for the next Georgia senate or governor’s race, I think if she was up for one of the 2 Georgia senate races she would have been ahead by a mile |

Idk to be honest. This area has a huge italian influence and they are still mad about columbus debacle. Here and Philly he is revered in the Italian communities. It's crazy it might come down to personal feeling instead of policies. |

The recent polls show the number of undecided are too small to make a difference. It is going to come down to turnout. |

538 is predicting a 15 in 100 chance for Trump to win PA and 85 in 100 chance for Biden. Trump won PA in 2016 by 44,000. If Biden gets the voters out that didn't turn out for Hillary he should win. |

I want to put his victory margins in a different way just to show how fine trump cut it last time...
In 2016, trumps victory margin over Clinton in Michigan was 0.1%, in Wisconsin it was 0.2% and in Pennsylvania it was 0.5%
That is what trump is trying to defend..... |
