I've gone back and forth on it a lot (I lived in the States for 11 years and even studied politics for three years, working out of D.C, etc. so I was super ingrained into political culture).
The early data from the roughly 30 million who have already voted, as well as the polls, seem to suggest he's losing...but that's eerily similar to how the 2016 election played out at that same point in time. The media's kind of already decided, just like last time, that Trump has lost. Part of me thinks that might egg on his voter base to double down on their support (even if they don't vocalise it). |

I can't see why anyone who voted for him last time. Wouldn't vote for him again.
He said he would take away healthcare from poor people, be a dick to the LGBT community, promote race-hate, give himself and his mates tax breaks, fuck the environment for the benefit of big business, spunk billions of dollars on a pointless border wall etc.
In fairness to him. He's done most of that stuff.
I predict a repeat of the 2016 result. |

Matters what you mean by “win”?
Pure vote count - no but he didn’t win that last time either
Electoral college? Maybe but the real question is how. There will be so much political wrangling in the days, weeks, months after the election. Remember the “dimple Chad” fiasco of BushVGore? This will make that look like a dimpled chad in comparison. It’s going to be a shit show and decided by House or Supreme Court (hence why it was very important to get that 6th conservative judge on the bench) |

It will be an interesting scenario if Trump wins a second term but the Republicans lose control of the senate.

"He will.."
I admire your optimism, if nothing else.
The Republicans are doing their best to help him cheat his way to a second term, that's for sure, but whether he will manage it or not is still too close to call at the moment. |

The result will be decided in court and the winner will be an old rich white man who had no connection with real people. Let’s be honest very little will change as the prez is owned by the people who put him there (most of whom funded his rival as well) |

When Biden referred to trump as Bush twice, makes you wonder if Biden is a bit long in the tooth, for the job, without wanting to be ageist. What a choice? Only two parties!, not really democracy, with such poor selection, it's all about money money money. |

I wondered who would push this conspiracy theory. Biden was on a show being interviewed by George Lopez. Talking to somebody called George, he called them "George" for some odd reason. |

Biden might be going senile. If so, Trump's lot can use actual good examples. But Trump's lot do keep lying about and grossly misrepresenting things he's said. |

Or his destruction of the planet and environment for the benefit of the oil companies?
Or his sexist, misogynist, white supremacist supporting rhetoric.
Or his inability to speak in sentence and understand rudimentary concepts?
Or the tax cuts he gave to himself and his rich friends.
Or taking away healthcare from millions of the poorest Americans.
Or wasting billions on a pointless border wall.

thank you....... so whats life like in battleground PA at the moment... can't go anywhere for not tripping over a politician... and i can imagine all the political ads!!!! something i do not miss!!!
okay... for the rest of you... why trump will NOT win....
basically the election will be won/lost in 10 states.... but a few ground rules first...
a) as much as the slappies here would like to believe trump is not winning any state in 20 that he did not win in 16 (new hampshire, minnesota or nevada!)..... so lets take those off the board!
b) lets call these states "the trump 10!"....
Biden will win the election if he wins any 3 of: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina , Iowa or Ohio
or......Florida and 1 of the above!
or......Texas! (aka the promised land of all democrats)
the reason why trump won last time is that people is certain places hated both candidates so much they either voted 3rd party, or they stayed home!
there isn't a viable 3rd party candidate this time round (yes, you kanye!!!)
trump won michigan by 10,000 votes last time (0.1%) because people of colour in Detroit and the suburbs stayed home!
trump won wisconsin by 17,000 votes last time round (0.2%) because people of colour in milwaukee ad suburbs stayed home!
no one is staying home this time round!!!
3) wrong time for a corona virus spike.... yes you florida, yes you georgia, yes you arizona!... that plus the voter registration efforts in florida and georgia in the wake of the midterm efforts means dems are in much much better shape than they were.... same could be said of texas in that respect
4) the hometown kid factor.... young joey from scranton!!! he will be much more appealing that clinton was....
of the trump 10... i think biden wins michigan, wisconsin, pennsylvania , arizona, and georgia
the only one of the trump 10 i would put in the trump retains at the moment would be Ohio.....
the other 4 could honestly go either way still (if texas does go blue someone is going to have a fit!!!!)

They did a local radio poll here in our " battleground county " was listening and the majority were for trump . In my opinion Biden who is from Scranton should have been more concentrated on here but he failed in that aspect. I guess we shall see. |

"Biden should have been more concentrated on this area the general feeling is that he abandoned us."
Accusations of abandonment and fears about false friends are the very visible residue of decades of unrelenting loss of blue-collar jobs. Once a thriving industrial center for coal mining, manufacturing and railroads, the Scranton area — nestled in the Lackawanna Valley — has been one of the nation’s prime victims of economic change. A handsome and imposing 19th century courthouse downtown hints at its prosperous past. But even in the tonier sections of town, most of the houses are modest, and some cry out for a new coat of paint.
As of August, the area had an 11.7 percent unemployment rate, among the worst in the state.
That may prove a bigger liability for the incumbent. Trump made big promises about reviving the region’s economic vitality at rallies here in 2016, proclaiming “we are going to put the miners and the factory workers and the steel workers back to work,” the day before the election. But the results have been middling. As of August, the state had fewer coal mining jobs than when Trump took office, despite his efforts to relax environmental restrictions.
“He got a lot of these people convinced that our companies were going to come back, that he was going to get places like Scranton back on their feet, that he was going to bring our jobs back. But that was a lie,” Scranton voter Roberta Sepkowski told a POLITICO reporter this summer. “I knew it was a lie. It’s worse than ever.”

Nice you can copy and paste and who do you think is responsible for this area decline. Hint it wasn't Trump. That being said you are not here. Everyday we see and hear more from co-workers friends and neighbors.
In 2016 it was pretty much balance Hillary to Trump signs on our street. Now and you can take itas is or not. The street we live on is All Trump signs now. |

So much trafficking down there people just disappear. It happens in New Mexico and a little in Texas but lots of civilians down on the Texas border with guns so Arizona is the easiest path. Some of the border towns are really bad but building a wall won't stop it. |
