No, at the moment they actually trust the party to conduct their own internal inquiry. If it's not done right, the EHRC will go after them. Feels like efficient management of resources given they have their hands full with the ongoing investigation into antisemitism in the Labour party

Yep read your post and I asked a simple question which surprise surprise you failed to answer.

So as it stands an independent body has wrote a report. But at this present time there is only one major political party being investigated by the EQHC and its not the party you have posted about.

I think that sums it up?

This started off like it was going to be very philosophical, then I couldn't follow the middle part at all. And it ended with a confusing statement about BLM.

I am interested in the all people are somewhat racist suggestion through. I take it you're suggesting we all need to look at our own behaviour and be introspective before we consider the actions of others?

Why? People who are not racists will accept and understand the BLM and it aims. Racists can’t or won’t accept or understand the BLM due to their ignorance and confusion. You don’t have to take the knee, or make a donation to accept their aims but why do the racists feel the need to criticise the people who do?

As a Conservative member, the publishing of this report. brings home some unpalatable truths.

We must apologise and do better, and be seen to be doing better. There is no place for bigots in society, let alone a political party.

Find tbem, and kick them out. Either learn and respect, or take your insulting views elsewhere.

Hope Not Hate's mission is to oppose the likes EDL, BNP and other race hate groups.

Is it now considered "far left" and "Marxist" to oppose racism?

One national newspaper published a very interesting analysis of both the tweets posted by people who support this organisation and the tweets that supporters liked. It certainly indicated that some of the members were full of the hatred which they claim to rigorously oppose. ( from memory it seemed to be perfectly acceptable by some supporters to hate people such as Mrs Thatcher )

What is the background to them producing this report ?

Did the Conservatives specifically ask them to look into their party, as part of the wider investigation, or have they done it themselves and offered their findings to the party?

Are you aware that there is a difference between hating an individual for their actions, and hating a group of people based on their skin colour, religion, country of origin or sexual orientation?

According to the guardian they invited them into but downgraded it from an enquiry into a report

I think the party themselves downgraded the whole inquiry to a general investigation, but I’m still interested to know if this group were actually asked by the party to produce a report for the party inquiry/general investigation i.e how did they get the gig?

Yeah you are probally right..they were probally walking about past tory hq one day and invited themselves in..and whilst they were there..they probably said..whilst we are here we night aswell do a study into institutional racism.

The level of whataboutery is actually reaching surreal levels on here.

This isn’t whataboutery.

I’m genuinely interested why you think the Conservatives invited this group to do a report, or where you have read that the Conservatives invited the group to be part of their inquiry(general investigation)

It’s not an opinion about their report, it’s an interest in finding out more about the commissioning of it.

If you have more info about this I’m interested to know

Of course it is.

You are casting doubt on the legitimacy of the report.

Do you serously think Tory just showed up?

It is legitimate - I’ve read it - I’ve not commented on it and I’m not casting doubt on it.

The commissioning is my interest.

Have you read somewhere how the group became involved ?

Apparently javid pushed Johnson into having an enquiry."

Yes I know that bit, Javid made the challenge to all the contenders during the leadership debate.

And so then Johnson opened a general investigation when he became leader.

So how did Hope not hate get invited to do a report for this investigation - you mentioned you thought they were invited to do so by the party?

"One national newspaper published a very interesting analysis of both the tweets posted by people who support this organisation and the tweets that supporters liked. It certainly indicated that some of the members were full of the hatred which they claim to rigorously oppose. ( from memory it seemed to be perfectly acceptable by some supporters to hate people such as Mrs Thatcher )

Are you aware that there is a difference between hating an individual for their actions, and hating a group of people based on their skin colour, religion, country of origin or sexual orientation?

Institutional racism..disliking a politician.. cant see the difference tbh.

I think the party themselves downgraded the whole inquiry to a general investigation, but I’m still interested to know if this group were actually asked by the party to produce a report for the party inquiry/general investigation i.e how did they get the gig?

I'm fairly sure they got invited in

I would be interested to know why you think this is the case or which source specifically mentions the Conservatives have asked this group to do a report for them.

How else would they have done it?

I cant find nothing online so I'm guessing there was some sort of selection process.

I dont understand why the commission of racial equality didnt get involved
