Yes, he's good. So is Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel. In fact there are a few American comics who are very funny about political issues atm. |

of the "11.30" hosts, I prefer Colbert to kimmel and fallon (fallon does my head in at times)... in the 12.30 slot i like seth myers for the political stuff but prefer james cordon for the entertainment....
saying all that though... i listen to the daily show with trevor noah first.... and then "desus and mero" on showtime... or Samantha Bee on TBS....
heck what do i know!!!!!! I'm a late night junkie...
oooh... did i mention last week tonight with john oliver on HBO!!!

They're all pretty good tbf, although I mainly tend to watch the political stuff as I love to watch them ridicule Trump. |

I watch Seth Meyers, Bill Maher, Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah and others - all great, though I think Colbert and Maher in particular are somewhat suffering under lockdown conditions.
However, out of the US shows I prefer Birmingham's own John Oliver, who does an amazing half-hour show on HBO ever week. It's not just political satire, but journalism, covering areas of American life that are missed in the mainstream media. There's also a surprising degree of activism, as you can see from this week's piece on the problems of museums in the US. The lockdown and removal of the studio audience doesn't seem to have affected his show much. |
