Boris' nemesis?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By *van Arden OP   Man  over a year ago

Coleford, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.

The word on the street is that the shine is beginning to wear thin on Boris Johnson's persona. Who would have guessed at the beginning of the year that the loveable clown would have become so unpopular?

The Conservative mouthpiece the Spectator along with Tory supporting media stalwarts such as the Daily Mail, the Telegraph and even the Sun are preparing his downfall as I type this piece. The absolute failure of Boris and Co to tackle the Pandemic will hasten his departure and with Boris planning to fly in the face of International Law with his rewriting of the Brexit agreement Boris hasn't covered himself or his government in glory.

Added to this Boris wants out of his relationship with his girlfriend and the mother of his baby. He wants to ditch the poor woman and return to his wife with his tail between his legs.

And what about his mental state you may ask? Mentally and intellectually he is thought to be perilously close to meltdown.Looking pale, nervous and drawn and going AWOL when things get tough Boris is a broken man.

I doubt if Boris will celebrate another Eastertide in Number 10 as the Tory men im grey suits plan his removal from office.

Is that Rishi Sunak I see waiting in the wings?

If Johnson goes, I reckon Gove would slime his way into the top job. Not Sunak.

I don't think Mogg has much clout. He divides his time between lounging around the Commons, quoting snippets of latin and making a tidy profit on the side.

Wrong Emma, it has to accepted that he and his leadership are also part of the issue along with some who have been irresponsible..

The seeds were down when he culled the cabinet, even prior to that when the Erg and their friends in the media were waging war upon their own colleagues who were not Uber Brexit accolytes..

That is true, he is also a proven liar and defended Cummings when he broke the lockdown rules. No wonder there are a lot of people ignoring his advice

Boris is on borrowed time that's even if he doesnt walk away.

Think they will see him through the incoming turmoil brexit and covid the next few months then move to replace him and start a fresh new cabinet, not many have come with any credibility from this years events, and sometimes through no one else's fault, the pandemic was never on anyone's radar and would be a shit storm for anyone to traverse.

I agree, they will leave him in place to take a bit more of the Covid heat. Then put Brexit fully in place (and all the fallout from that).

Then it will be time for him to go, so they can "start a fresh" and all the Tory voters will forgive them, because it was Boris' fault, not the Tory party itself...

Boris Johnson’s nemesis is definitely Boris Johnson.

The proximity of his foot to his mouth is just staggering

Waffle waffle waffle ... The rhetoric is not detail.

The Tories are circling to chop this disaster down. Whilst he’s filled the cabinet with supporters the Tory party is not 100% Boris,

I think the brexit fall out will be laid firmly at the door of covid

Oh absolutely. Brexiters and the government will blame as much economic damage from Brexit as possible on Covid.

Yet unfortunately, a lot of voters think the same way.

I wonder why it took people so long to realise that Johnson is a complete pillock. This guy is and as always been full of crap. If you voted for him, you clearly lack perception and you’re easily manipulated.

Last I checked, they were. Crazy. Makes me wonder if this is all a secret bet to see how badly they can fuck up and still get re-elected.

History will review the pandemic staging the lurching from one mistake to the next.

Many will be excused and understood with the hindsight of the necessity to make decisions in an unknown or unsure situation but what will not be forgiven, as it is inexcusable, is the lack of accountability and huge selfishness of those of wealth and position especially in the Tory party and Cummings, in flouting their own rules and so eroding the public’s trust to such an extent I don’t think it’ll ever be rebuilt. That is their memorial and is truly and absolutely unforgivable.

Too many people pay too little attention to history. History proves this. Ironic.

Boris's nemesis "Covid".He got in to "get brexit done then Britain will be great again" ticket( also Corbyn seemed to have lost Labour many votes).

It might have worked,Boris might have gone down (rightly or hoodwinkingly) as a feelgood Prime Minister,( lord knows we are due one)....

but Covid rules mismanagement(turning point was Cummings free pass) done for him .

As someone above says , probably Gove next in..but I think they'd be wiser choosing next leader someone unknown to public.

K.Starmer getting stronger each time I hear comments on TV / radio discussions..

In life shit happens, he wanted to be team captain where he thought if he said I will get brexit done he was a shoe in..

Trouble is when things crop up not on your to-do list, albeit something as bad as this people rightly expect the leader to take charge and sort it but as it's gone on it's looking even for some on his own team that he is out of his depth..
