And the congressional subpoena issues have been punted to the lower courts read the opinion, it was remanded so President can raise constitutional issues which means this won’t be decided for maybe a year, thanks "actaully..... sort of..... if you were to take both cases... you could call it a 1/2 win out of 2..... in the case against the New York DA's office... he lost! his lawyers tried to claim the president was basically above the law whilst in office! (immunity) whilst in office... and all 9 judges said nah!!! what SCOTUS did was kick the case back down to the lower court (who had already said that he must give over his tax returns for the Grand jury in the investigations over the hush money payments... and alledgedly potential RICO and other financial charges coming against both him and the trump organisation) the only minor win for trump in the New York case is that by kicking it back down was that it buys time where trump could basically tie it up legally that the records would likely not be handed over before the 2020 election! not a case of if but when... and that could also mean charges coming regardless of if he won re-election the thing about grand jury testimony is that never becomes public! in the trump vs Congress case... this was even! what SCOTUS said is that the original request in the subpoena's was too vague... the records were being asked for by 3 seperate committees for general oversite rather than specifics, which is why it was being seen as fishing expidition! thats the bit that trump won!!! HOWEVER what SCOTUS also did is give congress in future a distinct legal pathway as to how they could get the tax records for a president in future... again this was kicked back down to the lower court! so because of the time it would take and again with trumps lawyers stalling for time!... congress are not going to get his tax returns before the election, But if the dems are still in charge of congress after november (which is very likely!) they could take another run at getting the tax returns then if they so wished! | |||

"See the dumb trumps latest - last night - i think it was on CnBC " more whites get killed, than black americans, by police " https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/trump-claims-e2-80-98more-white-people-e2-80-99-killed-by-police-than-black-americans/ar-BB16JZQi" it was a network interview he did for the CBS evening news just before he had his press conference breakdown! see.. even then he is being disengenious because the washington post then went and did some research, so as a number he would be correct, but as a proportion of the population you would be 2.5 times more likely to be killed by police if you are black than if you are white.... 13.5 percent of the population, 33% of the people killed by police! anyway he said a few crazy things in that interview... yet again standing up for confederate statues and the confederate flag!.... | |||
