Which may not seem like much either, but Labour has to be absolutely 100% spotless on this issue now. I havent seen anybody claim Israel trained the officer that killed floyd. I have only seen them point out that us police are taking their training from a police force know for their human rights violations.
The implication being that the type of heavy handedness that dis kill floyed is actively encouraged by us law enforcement.

I havent seen anybody claim Israel trained the officer that killed floyd. I have only seen them point out that us police are taking their training from a police force know for their human rights violations.

If someone shows you how to commit a crime..you then do said crime..if you get caught you cant Blame it on the person who showed you.
If you give information when you know someone will use it to commit a crime, or if you are ‘willfully blind’ about whether they will commit a crime, then you providing information on how to commit a crime could very likely be a crime. At a minimum you would be facilitating the commission of an offense and you may be involved in a conspiracy.
So saying that Israel trained the police on how to kill Floyd is saying they are responsible for his death. As there is no evidence that Israel did train the police in how to kill Floyd it's not unreasonable to believe that those spreading this false information have an alternative agenda and also, because it is Israel, not unreasonable to assume that that agenda is anti-semitic.

The words themselves are clearly not anti-semitic, but when you make a grab to apportion some of the blame of George Floyd's murder to Israel it looks desperate. Of course you can wangle some sort of connection, but it naturally raises suspicion over your motivation because like it or not, plenty of anti-semites conceal their hatred of Judaism in criticism of Israel.
I think Israel should absolutely be criticised for many of its activities, but trying to put some blame on them for systemic racism and it's horrendous legacy in the US is stupid and unnecessary.
But that's the crux of it..at worst it's being critical of the Israelie police as being over zealous.Its not blaming all jews.Wasnt there a move last year to try and make any criticism of Israel deemed to be anti semitic.It appears we are at that stage already.
Another point is that the article wasn't even about this.It was about labour voters not voting for corbyn.Apparently it was 1 small piece in the article.You could argue rlb didnt read the whole piece but when you get to the stage where people are being sacked for 1 line in an article it's a very slippery slope.
You can criticise Israel for heavy- handed policing, but that's one thing and systemic racism in the US is another. There are links, sure... but as I said, it's unnecessary to force them.
It's an unfortunate political reality that if you want to criticise Israel you have to take pains to do so carefully. The George Floyd stuff is a total reach.
Like I said previously I think treating them as a special case,only gives ammunition to the conspiracy theorists.No other country in the world would get away with the kind of shit they pull.They do have a very cosy relationship with America and if someone has put 2 and 2 together and got 5..that's clumsy..not racist.

The fact that the press does not cover islamophobia in the Tory Party, in fact even whether the Tory Party is islamophobic, or more or less islamophobic than the Labour Party is or is not antisemitic, is totally irrelevant. I totally fail to see how, even if the Tory Party was full of "froothing at the mouth, kick 'em all out and pull down their mosques' islamophobes it would in anyway excuse any anti-semitism in the Labour party.
