"Best politician in the uk by far
She has handled the COVID crisis in a more dignified and clear manner than Boris the clown "
Aye, the care home deaths and the Nike cover up were handled with brilliant clarity and dignity.
They are not a cult. |

"Fucking hell - doesn’t she go on! Mind you, thats politicians for you - they talk for a living. "
In general, she tells the truth which the same cannot be said for the lying buffoon that is boris. |

Except when asked about care home deaths or Nike conference outbreaks.
100% not a cult. |

She’s a very clever politician but I think she losing faith with the Scottish people because she doesn’t seem to get a grip on some of Scotland’s own issues such as education standards falling in a country where education has been one of the highest in Europe if not the world.
Half my family are staunch supporters but they seem to be starting to complain a lot and that was before lockdown.
I think she’s be much better than Boris in the crisis but also she’s watching him fall into every manhole and then steering around them herself. Smart. |

Yep. She's by no means perfect; but being a more capable leader than Boris is a really fucking low bar.
As far as the virus goes, she's done an acceptable job, though she should have seen the care homes spike coming.
How she copes in the next few months will be a real test. If the return to school doesn't go well, considering the length of time there's been to prepare for it, she'll be in big trouble.
Also, like Boris, she's going to have a big spike in unemployment to deal with.
I guess we'll see how it all goes; but, so far, she's avoided a total train-wreck response to Covid 19.
P.S. The Nike thing - not great; but fuck all compared to the Cheltenham Festival farce. |

True Nicola has been a steady influence during these troubled times. Although really testing times are ahead for her economically and from within her party. I think she has her eyes elsewhere, she will easily win the next election, not through any great governance, more due to the weakness of the opposistion, she will not go for Indy 2 as she has not managed to build on the numbers from the last referendum. So there is little to be gained from hanging around as the economy struggles for all of us in the UK |

Totally aggree. I was a fan early on, as she has the drive to succeed, but I think you are spot on with your comment about having her eyes elsewhere.

Experience tells us she will write a book...settling a few old scores. Then take up a post with a FTSE company or an ambassadorial role possibly .
It would seem at this point her main reason for sticking around is to prevent Joanna Cherry getting her slippers into Bute house. |

Nicola tells her version of the truth as she sees things.
As a leader she is hopeless, she let's Boris lead in the decision making process then criticises every decision. three weeks later she follows the same route as the UK government.
The SNP are in power only because the opposition is so poor in Scotland and even then they are propped up by the green party.

"The SNP are in power only because the opposition is so poor in Scotland and even then they are propped up by the green party."
That's not the only reason. True, the opposition are poor; but they're pretty much the same in having nothing positive to offer Scotland.
Most voters in Scotland are inclined towards socialist policies; the Tories do not provide these. The Labour Party dare not provide them because the majority of the voters in England don't want them.
To win a UK GE in England, you have to be either Tory, or Tory-Lite (New Labour).
Since we have our own government (to no small extent) and a political party that offers us the chance to vote for an alternative to right wing economics, we have a choice.
Yes, Scotland rejected independence in 2014. Yes, our current government is far from ideal; but the SNP vote has held up because Scots want things done differently to the way they are done to suit the S.E. of England.
If we didn't want that alternative, the majority of us wouldn't keep voting for it. |
