Hmmm.

He has screwed up over Covid

Screwed up over Care Homes

Screwed up the economy

Screwed up Britains reputation abroad

Screwed up the country by not governing as the UK

Screwed up negotiations with the EU

Screwed up Schools and education

Screwed up by causing 65,000+ people to die when they shouldn’t have

Screwed up the families of these people

Screwed up sacking Dominic Cummings

Screwed up sacking Robert Jenrick

...the list just goes on, the man is a frigging disaster, and we are the one’s suffering his incompetence

No and his leadership is deteriorating with each passing day. He is faced with the biggest socio-economic challenges and health crises since the war, however his approach fails in so many fronts compared with the better leaders around the Globe.

He is turning his decision making into an echo-chamber, reducing his calls for and participation in more collaborative approaches such as COBR. His appointments for the key posts in government are simply those who will do his bidding and the same goes for the latest appointment to the commission to deal with racial inequality. His litany of failures and the potential for it only getting worse, can only be described as complete incompetence. He is not alone and of course it is easy to cast aspersions from the couch, however he and his government have become increasingly detached from reality and have increasingly resorted to delusional, self-congratulatory rambling.

A world-beating performance of ineptitude to quote his own favourite double barrelled adjective.

Rumors in Westminster he is not going to use the podium for the top professors of medicine any time soon - they are thinking of resigning.

His rolling out of different stooges every day is laughable reading from dom cummings scripts.

Dom cummings runs the country - Boris cant exist without him. It is embarrassing beyond belief.

Yep, standard defence to all the people that love to say how utterly shit someone else is and how they should have done X y and z. If people have the answers and could do so much better, then do something about it, don't come back saying, but it's too hard or too expensive or but I'm not a politician, that's a total cop out. If it's so easy to do better, bloody well do it.

A more convincing argument would have been to list his achievements or attributes.

I am not attempting to convince you of anything. Just sick and tired of armchair experts that offer nothing but criticism and a total lack of any willing or ability to do better. "

So the people we elect to power are above criticism?

It's a job no politician will ever be good enough for. There will always be someone who thinks they can do better. You hold Boris personally accountable for any failure anywhere in government or policy you don't like. That is an unrealistic expectation of any human being on the planet. His job is to lead and effectively to be a figurehead, he is not there to personally manage every single aspect of every single roll in every single department. Governments are not god's, they cannot forsee every outcome, they cannot fix every problem. They have to make the hard decisions so you don't have to. It gives you a way to absolve yourself of guilt so you can blame someone else when people are hungry and homeless and sick instead of having to put your hand in your pocket and help them directly. And if you use the excuse of, well I can't afford to, well neither can the government some times. Their resources may be significantly more that yours, but they are not infinite.

You have no idea what meetings he turned up to and whether he actually needed to be there, or did he send someone else better suited? I could go to a lot of meetings, it doesn't mean my input is needed or appropriate.

He could have shut the country down completely as soon as the virus was discovered, but that would have lead to a million and one people criticising him for damaging the economy even more and costing more people their livelihoods. You are bashing the government with the benefit of hindsight and no actual information about the knock on effects those decisions would have had. Like I said, it's a balancing act with shit outcomes on both sides. It isn't a case of choosing the good option, it's a case of looking at the biggest picture they can and making as informed a guess as they can as to which way it'll pan out. Someone on one side or other of the choice was going to suffer, it wouldn't matter who is in government and who had to make the choice. Yes the choices might have been different, but that just means a different group would suffer the consequences.

We know for a fact he did not turn up for 5 COBRA meetings. We know for a fact he was on holiday for 2 weeks in February, 2 weeks in which countries like Germany were preparing.

Everybody knows this was an unprecedented event, but the things that other countries did, he just didn't do and had prior warning.

You think he is marvelous, good for you. Some of us don't and are well within our right to say so. I wish to god he had been better. A lot of families would not be grieving if he had been.

I don't think he's marvelous, I think he's a human being that gets endless shit from people who love to tell him how crap he is but offer nothing that would help the situation. For example, if you don't like the government policy on school meals, feel free to criticise, but then go cook something for a hungry kid, or donate to a charity.

So he was in Downing St on Feb 14 and then again on Feb 24. Thats ten days, not two weeks.

In the meantime, he was working at a Goverment property.

And missing important meetings. Working? He certainly wasn't preparing for a pandemic. But, feel free to defend a bloke who has made a complete mess of pretty much everything he has touched.

"We know for a fact he did not turn up for 5 COBRA meetings.

Where was BJ on holiday for two weeks in February?

Not defending anyone, just curious to where you get your facts from. In fact, Feb 14 to Feb 24 is actually 9 days, not 10 and certainly not 14.

So the best we’ve got from BJ supporters is ‘could we do better’! Frankly of course we bloody could. He is asleep at the wheel and has cost at least 65,000 people their lives. His approach, his policies, the team he chose have all screwed up.

Who couldn’t do better than this - don’t bother harking back to Jezza by the way, but even then I imagine BJ would still have done worse

Messed up on the pandemic response for Covid. Especially with PPE and the way the hospitals were handled.

Did well on handling economic issues due to covid by compensating pay for most workers.

Doing well on Brexit negotiations too.

Somewhere on the middle right now. Till a long time to go before we can decide if he is a good leader. Would be interesting to see if he can fulfil his manifesto promises amidst the chaos.

That was my thought too. As far as I can make out, he's thrown out what was previously agreed and trying to make the EU accept stuff they have said all along they won't.

Effectively winding down the clock until we hit a real no-deal Brexit, which is no good for anyone. Apart from a handful of city types and the people they donate to, any idea who that might be?

We are leaving without a deal, that has always been his and his rich friends plan . Once he has achieved this he will resign and start making money from a no deal Brexit but I suppose that’s what the leave voters knew and always wanted

He is playing his cards right instead of bending down to them. EU tried to force an extension and the UK didn't accept.

UK wants a Japan or Canada style agreement without being held under EU's control by any means. The government is using the fishing rights as negotiation power. This is the way to negotiate if you want a better deal. What else do you expect?

Its not the PM's plane. It belongs to the RAF, and is used to fly The Royal Family and members of the Goverment around the world on official business. Many Governments around the world have one.

Its at Cambridge, due a scheduled repaint. Many RAF planes have had special custom repaints over the years.

Standard defence

Yep, standard defence to all the people that love to say how utterly shit someone else is and how they should have done X y and z. If people have the answers and could do so much better, then do something about it, don't come back saying, but it's too hard or too expensive or but I'm not a politician, that's a total cop out. If it's so easy to do better, bloody well do it.

A more convincing argument would have been to list his achievements or attributes.

I am not attempting to convince you of anything. Just sick and tired of armchair experts that offer nothing but criticism and a total lack of any willing or ability to do better.

So the people we elect to power are above criticism?

No, that's what a ballot box is for.

The thing you are forgetting, is that Johnson has been primed for this all his life. He is the 'cream of the crop'. The best education and privilege, yet he is so obviously not fit for purpose. No, not just anybody could do the job. That's the point, he is supposed to be good at this stuff, he isn't.

With all due respect, that's a very long cop out. Here's one to start: the furlough scheme has worked ok. What else?"

Hmmm. Nothing

The huge glaring reason why he is shit is he needs Dom Cummings to survive - all Boris prepares for is reading his speeches - like in his public school days , all the tory drivel scripts are written by him and of cors the slogans to be fed to the press.

Our prime ministers - use chief secretaries and the cogs behind our machine that has been there for decades.

Dom Cummings is our leader/chief secretary, Boris the buffoon is his puppet. Our supreme leader is open to all democratic criticism

You and your friends aren't the majority, silent or otherwise. You didn't give Boris a majority, the First-Past-The-Post system did.

If the UK were a real democracy, like Germany, the Tories would have 43.6% of the seats in Parliament; not a majority.

The current government, from the leader downwards, are utterly out of their depth; for the simple reason that they are the dregs of what the Tory Party has to offer.

Most of their more capable politicians were purged to ensure Brexit purity. For that one issue, it's maybe ok for getting a deal - though, more likely, not. Either way, they're singing from the same hymn sheet; united, in a way the UK just isn't.

However, for the world-changing event of Covid-19, the current Cabinet have been, for the most part, fucking useless.

"Corbyn would have been worse", "You couldn't do any better". Feel free to squeal that whataboutery shite at me all you like. It's not relevant.

YOUR idols are in charge and if today's Daily Mail can get stuck into them for their many inadequacies, then so can the majority of us who did not vote for them.

When you defend Boris and his Government you are telling everyone you're happy to settle for incompetent mediocrity.

‘Most of us’? Do you mean the knuckle draggers who were ‘protecting ‘ statues last weekend?

Nope I mean the silent majority like my freinds, neighbours and colleagues. You will know them, they are the same lot who gave Boris a thumping majority in December. They see all these idiots protesting, kneeling and just roll their eyes and carry on

Ye your part of the silent majority

Silent as Boris sells out UK to huge US corporate food producers with their septic drug filled meat that Europeans wouldn't allow be fed dogs

After that gem of a deal it's on to selling out NHS to big US corporate pharma Inc

What do you and your silent friends say to that?

Well as a food industry professional for 15 years Im more concerned about Polish Beef... that stuff will kill you

Probably none, because they were a different organisation by then but their 2015 effort would have seen Brexit through without delay. I’m merely pointing out that PR isn’t always all it’s made up to be...

I think the constant being caught out lying is exposing the incompetence but also undermining any belief in his whole cabinet.

We were told testing is 20, 30, 40, then 100,000 per day then we discover they were Just testS available and included a good proportion of double tests for key workers so bullshit numbers.

We heard 1 Billion pieces of PPE had been delivered only to discover the number included buckets and mops and counting gloves individually not as a pair. That is just plain lying!!

Boris has gone from job to job as eventually he gets found out that it’s all bluster and rousing nonsense.

I am just sad he is our leader and I’m embarrassed about what he’s doing to our country.

I don’t elect a leader to do everything I want but I do expect him to do what is good for my country. He does what is good for himself and his backers.

Still no news on that Russia enquiry I see.

His latest lie was to claim no one has one working at all and no one has got ontop of the virus - by testing the population - in Boris bullshit bungling - speak what he means is -

Yes, I do. Not ideal at all but it would have been a true reflection of what the voting public wanted and much fairer. In 2015, the SNP took 56 seats on about half the UKIP vote. That's not democracy.

Those UKIP MPs would have been in opposition, of course. I suppose it's possible the Tories would have formed a coalition with them; they are both, like the DUP, on the right-wing-cunt spectrum, after all.

PR is a long way from being perfect - and the English did reject it once already - but it IS representative of votes cast. First-past-the-post just isn't. Which is why the UK is not really a democracy.

And anyone who thinks Boris is the man to unite the UK is kidding themselves; even half the voters in England can't stand him.

TRUE as above /\

His pathetic performance at PM Q's is a joke - to think this man represents us ffs.

All he can do, which is the one good thing he thinks he is an expert on, is " giving a speech & reading from a single A4 piece of paper - written by DOM CUMMINGS " he thinks that is work - like in his toff debating days , when he was at Eton or whatever fkn uni he was at.

He is our clown - chosen leader.

N.B ALSO NOTE HE HAS NOT ONCE - CALLED TRUMP OUT FOR WHAT HE IS. To represent what us the british public think of trump. ? ?

Yes if forgot about dunce Boris - when our pandemic started he said

" ive been to visit corona patients and have shook hands with all of them "

This man is an insult to a clown

When the USA had 1000+ deaths a day their new cases were 30-35,000 a day

With lockdowns eased US new cases in last week have been 40k plus a day, 47K yesterday alone and now their retracting on easing lockdowns

Crowded beaches and pubs open next week UK can look forward to mirroring USA and we will be back on lockdown by September.

Thank you Boris ‘ I visited a hospital ward of covid patients and shook hands with everyone’ before catching it himself.

"Let's face it, a Tory prime minister could cure cancer and you lot would still hate them! it's pathetic.

And he could preside over The worst death rate in Europe and people will still sing his praises

You might as well blame him for the tide going in and out. Unless you have examples where Boris made decisions without listening to expert advice first?

Well I suppose he would have to attend meetings where said experts would be in attendance for that to happen 1st I suppose?"

While he had Corona i presume.

What has Johnson achieved exactly so far apart from backtracking on the Irish border to pretend he got an agreement thanks to himself? Since then, it’s been waffling, weekly humiliations at PMQs, catching the virus, making u turn after u turn, receiving a lesson on human decency by a 20 year old football player, being humiliated by Cummings who buggered off to Durham without telling anyone and achieving the highest death toll in Europe? Have I missed anything really good?

It was mentioned earlier today there would be an announcement from Sedwill at some point ... from your post I took it he had been ceremonially frog marched out the back door of No.10 but headline mentions, “ The UK's top civil servant, Sir Mark Sedwill, has confirmed he plans to stand down from the role in September.

In a letter to Boris Johnson, he said it was the right time to go as the government moved to the next phase of its coronavirus recovery plan.”

There is some shenanigans going on in the background of course.

“we have agreed I will stand down” tells you all that you need to know.

To be replaced by the chief Brexit negotiator in the middle of the Brexit negotiations.

Tells you the rest of the story.

Dominic shenanigan Cummings' "hard rain on the civil service".

The reward for working flat chat through a pandemic

Virus was out on Aug of last year in uk so didn't act quick enough.

No consistent advice.. Even my child said we stay in but can go out.. Doesn't make sense.

No penalisation of Cummings.. Why not?

Didn't lock down soon enough or good enough.

Should have enlisted army for support n road stops should have stopped all flights/visitors.. We are an island.

Didn't follow his own advice n got the virus.. Think that sums it up
