Sadly he seems to have vanished.

You think so? I thought the same before Covid. But the way he handled the virus crisis caused a huge drop in his popularity in some states which are vital for him.
People always knew he was racist. But still he won the elections. I thought the coronavirus was the end of him. But how the George Floyd issue will impact the elections will be hard to guess. |

actually i am more confident this week that trump will go in november.. actually the fact that biden has been about this week and making speeches (which the national news have shown) has shown people the differences between them.... and trump basically going "el presidente" with the militaristic response!
trump is going to get battered by two sides in the advertising... the biden democrats, and the ex moderate republicans who left the party

who i would love him to choose and who i think he will choose are two slightly different answers...
I would love him to choose elizabeth warren, she is the one person who would have plans for everything from day 1 that biden could just plug into his working...
but... warren comes from a state where if she were to give up her senate seat, the governor would choose who gets to fill that seat till it is next contested... and the governor of Ma. is a republican (although a very very moderate one)....
i also like governor whitmer of michigan, but her husband is too much of a wildcard for me... lol free spirit!
after this week i think amy klobachar is a non starter... she was the ex DA in the very district george floyd, and her record of prosecuting police is piss poor!
so...... i think it will come down to 3 black women....
Stacy abrams... but i think she has her eye on the georgia govrnors race again, although she could have run for one of the
2 georgia senate seats that are up in november and strolled it!!!
Val Demmings.... represents florida (very popular in a battleground state!) ex police chief of orlando (so trump could not use law and order card!) very very savvy...
and my choice would be Kamala Harris.... california senate, super high profile, very very sharp and down to earth, before politics she was the california AG and head DA for san francisco..... |

Yes, I'm thinking it could be close this year and I'm thinking getting the foundations laid for the next one.
A politician of colour would be the obvious way to go, even more so if its a woman as well.

I can actually see why Trump was elected. The Americans are a few years ahead of us in that their politicians are just the most selfish corrupt group of people in their country. The whole system is money driven not people or policy. ( a few exceptions I agree)
The system needs changing and Trump came along as an alternative that gave them hope. Sadly he’s turned out to be a complete idiot. Whilst he might have the right ideas such as about limiting China’s power and imbalanced exports, he just doesn’t seem to be able to grasp the detail.
I then look at Boris and indeed all our politicians and see OMG that’s where we are heading. What happened to the enquiry about a Russians funding Boris? Where are those emails for his girlfriends trips? Why are Lords allowed to click register online and receive half their attendance allowance whilst people all across the country are losing their jobs? They are mostly retired and receiving pensions they are not working!
Someone mentioned Fahrenheit by Michael Moore. It’s shows you where we are going. I’m still shocked and disappointed by Obama‘s behaviour in it as I thought he was a good guy.

I actually don't worry about biden on the campaign trail as his surrogates will do a lot of the heaving lifting.... the trick is going to be who appears where and when....
for example... ifs it is close.... you could get an "obama" to appear with him in events in florida or arizona or north carolina..for example, there are enough midwestern democrats that could appear with him there... mayor pete in indiana, amy in minnesota, governor whitmer in michigan, governor evers or again obama in wisconsin or iowa.... beto in texas, even a "bush" in texas....
the debates are going to be a tough watch! people thing biden is not good... but compared to trump, trump is woeful!! the problem is because we know trump is really bad in them anything better than mediocre is a result..
go back and have a look at the 3 debates trump had against hilary.... one of them was prepared and wiped the floor with them! |
