The agreement allows overflights of unmanned drones to reassure nuclear armed states that nothing untoward is going on.
Anyone think that leaving this is a good thing?
I bet there are, so interested in your reasons ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

I don't believe this is a good thing for all sorts of reasons. Russia and the USA don't actually need to use drones to keep an eye on what any country is doing, satellites are more than capable of doing the same job. Most other countries in the world have no or very limited access to satellite intelligence, which means the open skies agreement is very important to them.
I actually believe this is posturing by the USA to force Russia to actually abide by the agreement and i don't think the USA have any real intention of pulling out of the agreement. |

How does this "posturing" pressure Russia if the USA look like the warmongers as a result? |

"Really simple thought that direct action by the USA on 'foreign spying' will appeal to his base?
"
Exactly, it appeals to his nut case base !
The US has no need what so ever to do fly overs with drones to check up on nuclear states. Our satellites can see the pores in your skin from
space, and much more ! |
