Eventually the lockdown will end.
Eventually the pandemic will be over.
From Boris to the people the clap for carers and all key workers may come to end.
But do you see a shift, a change in how the government and society will show appreciation to the NHS, it's workers and all key workers or not?
How should the UK government from current to future show their support and regards for all these valued citizens of our society?
I personally feel that society needs to stop the unbalance and thus importance we give to entertainers and redirect it to those of value.
I personally feel the government should reduce its tax bands for all emergency and key workers, emergency workers etc as well as increase their pay and better fund the NHS with money and management.
What do you see happening and feel though?

Key workers will remain unskilled and paid minimum wage. Boris will wave his superman cloak and privatise the NHS (sell it to America) under the guise of it being the only way to protect and save it. |

You cannot, and should not, tax professions based on their perceived value to society.
Are you really saying that in normal times a senior nurse consultant should pay less tax than a cleaner?
Are doctors underpaid now? Should they be taxed less? They are working just as hard as nurses?
What about delivery drivers and supermarket workers?
What about volunteers in food banks? Should they get a tax rebate?
That's as unfair as anything.
Taxation is based on income. Increase pay to appropriate levels.
Universal basic income will save on means testing so that the money goes further with additional funding based purely on medical need.
Then raise the minimum wage for work.
The more pertinent issue is what happens to NHS funding.
The Tory party will find it very, very difficult to continue its path of defunding and decentralising to make it possible to sell it off piecemeal. They will be under intense scrutiny for years.
Ironically Trump is now desperate for a trade deal to distract from the disaster of his Covid handling, but agriculture and the NHS could scupper it. It will not get through Congress if there aren't UK conssessions which I do not think there can be now. |

The virus is hiding the news on the trade deals with the US. This is already underway, as per the Brexit mandate.
