So the hard left once again refuse to give a person of colour, LGBTQIA or even a woman the top job.

I have a feeling the hard left wanted a woman leader but the voices of reason in the party actually went for the better candidate this time. Unlike last time.

Does it? Kier Starmer was the best candidate, he won the most votes , I am not sure why that is an issue

I thought it was a democratic vote amongst the membership of the Labour Party?

Surely no one should be given a job based on their colour, persuasion or gender. Wouldnt that be just what you're implying has happened?

Positive discrimination is just as much a blight.

Hardly think it’s Corbin 2, they’d would have had a hard job finding another outdated, nut case like him. Perhaps now a bit of sensible thinking might abound at the top. Nothing wrong with the others but I think they were looking for a new stability and much lacking popularity.

Just watching the Twitter meltdown. Some real factionalism eating away at the Labour Party.

London

Despite a hard and well organised campaign by Momentum! Labour Party members decided it was time for change. Most Unions campaigned for the hard left, but most union members rejected this and went for a more moderate candidate. It will not make any difference to the next general election, Thatcher was re-elected a third time because of the Falklands. Covid-19 will be Boris’s Falklands.
