Why is it that every time I go to the home page when browsing, it keeps asking for my location? It’s really annoying and making the web app difficult to use. And yes... my location is turned on! |

Going to settings and then going to apps and check that your browser location permission is switched on |

It’s turned on! Always has been! Every time I go to home page on mobile app it keeps asking for location. And it’s doing my head it. Surely I’m not the only one with this issue?? |

Are you turning it off from your settings in your phone, as in location services |

It’s turned on my settings. So no idea why it keeps asking me. It never used to before but it does ALL the time now and I don’t even look at fab as much coz it’s really annoying. |

Same!! Thought I was going mental but seems a few people have it, no point even contacting fab as they only contact you when your membership is up , other than that they are useless! I don’t even get sent emails anymore about notifications, I’ve mailed them over 20 times about it and nothing in return |

Ok. So no update from anyone or the mod team on fab. This is a joke. They’re on your case quick if u misunderstand or violate their terms and conditions. But stuff like this they’re completely ignoring. Come on guys. You’re better than that. |

Maybe you have declined cookies, there is a reason why they are used. |

Does it on mine as well. Plus, every time you refresh ‘who is near’. Not sure if it’s linked to the latest iOS update.
Anyone experiencing it using Android? |

Nope. Everything is normal. Never used to do this before. My location is on but it keeps asking for it every time I go to home page or ‘who’s nearby’ page. |

Hi everyone, I hope I have found a solution to this.... everything worked fine with the location functionality until a few days ago. Checked all the permissions etc - all as should be.
I then realised that I had set my browser (dolphin) to private Browning.
Turned this back to normal browsing and everything back to normal - not ideal, but it does now work.
Hope this works for you too. |

On safari go to settings , privacy then location services, scroll down to safari websites . Then click never. Most automatically ask for it when you switch on the browser unless you turn it off .

Question:
Has anyone actually contacted admin instead of just posting on here. I had a different problem a couple of weeks ago and within hours they got back to me.
Just a suggestion.
You can use the contact link at the very bottom of every page.

It's not a new thing. This was happening 6 or 8 months ago too and was raised in the forums then. A few like myself keep location off perminantly now. If I've mine on for maps or anything I just now switch it off automatically without thinking when I go into Fab. |

If android and chrome browser try.
Setting
Site settings
Location setting
Look under allowed, if fab already on this try clicking and clearing site settings to remove it.
Then fresh re-log on to fab worked for mine.

So glad I came across this conversation! Keep clicking to allow location has been pissing me right for months...... as suggested I had it on private mode (iPhone)!
Switched it off and boom! No more sodding pop ups allowing access every two mins!
I couldn’t give two hoots who sees my location I’m not precious lol!
