Website scaling suggestions

Hi,

I'm a web developer and I wanted to open a dialogue regarding the scaling of the site..

Of the months the traffic here has increased a good 20-30% which is great ????!

I had a few suggestions of which I'm sure you are aware of but I the sake of sharing...

1. offload assets (images, css, js) to a cdn

2. Use a short lived caching layer ( I think you have something in place already requests still take sometime at peak traffic times)

3. Scale horizontally - so use a hosting service that you add and drop servers on demand.

4. Use a hosting provider that only charges you for what you use.
