I wonder if it's to do with people wanting To be discreet and not wanting the locals in the area to know what there upto. The locals should wonder about their own sad lives, no matter if someone is enjoying theirs |

Those locals would have to be a member to see them... So they would be up to the same |

If you go on the 'who's near me' tab and look towards the top of the page, there is a button that says 'who's near me that matches your preferences' (or something like that). It then gives you the people who math your preferences in ascending order of distance away, still can't say it's a hugely helpful tool. |

this is correct !!!
Without site supporters the who is near only shows single guys for me anyway lol
But t seems to work perfectly except for once when I was messaged by someone apparently 2 miles away and turned out they were closer to 200 miles away |

"I've just moved and my who's near is still using my old postcode. I've changed it on my profile." Who's near doesn't use your postcode, it uses your phone's GPS location. Have you checked that your phone is showing the correct location?

If I click on advanced search, it gives me an option "search using who's near location" then my old postcode. My phone's GPS is working (I've checked on maps). Really confused :\ |

Odd, I don't get that option!
I only see "Near Town/City or first half of postcode: ", like on the WWW site!
What happens if you use the proper Who's Near function? |

OK, to test this I changed the postcode on my profile, and NOW I get the "Use your "Who's Near" location, showing my real home postcode, where my phone is!
So:
"What happens if you use the proper Who's Near function?" Are the locations of the nearest profiles close to your old or new location? If they're close to your old location, I'd switch Who's Near off and back on and check that the location that is reported is actually where you are. |
