Just got an Amazon Kindle HDX 8.9 tablet but disappointed that the webcam does not work in the fab chatrooms, nor can I watch others on webcam. I have no problem doing with this with my old Blackberry Playbook tablet. I understand it is because the Kindle does not work with 'flash' player.
Has anybody else experience of this, and maybe found a solution? |

Thanks for the advice. I have downloaded Dolphin browser, rebooted, then logged onto this site again and then selected Chat but still no webcam (either seeing my own or seeing other people). I checked that I am definitely going through Dolphin - can see a tiny Dolphin logo at the bottom left of the screen. Oh well, back to using my old faithfull Playbook for chatting! |

"when I go to type anything in chat, the room disappears???" Disappears, as in closes your browser, or disappears behind your on-screen keyboard? If it's the latter, there are bluetooth keyboards available, which, I think, would leave the screen available for chat.
"Adobe mobile flash player isn't available for androids over 4.0.0. " That's certainly true...
"Nothing u can do" I think that some of the browsers suggested above have "built in Flash equivalents", which some people have success with. None of them seem to be able to broadcast your tablet's cam as a web cam. |
