How accurate is the whos near feature as sometimes it says that people that are miles away are within 2-3 miles etc. Is this an error or is it always correct ? |

"Who's near" shows people's actual location taken from the GPS in their phone, rather than their home location.
E.g. if you were local to my home location and looked at my profile, you'd see:
Distance: within 5 miles
Right now: They are on mobile, 200+ miles away
Similarly if you were close to my current location, you'd see:
Distance: 200+ miles away
Right now: They are on mobile, within 5 miles.
