EsSex Social 11th April

It’s time for EsSex to have its very own social and an evening of making fabulous FAB friends!

This will be a social event only in a pub in Chelmsford near to the station. Don’t come with the expectation of playing. Numbers will be limited so the venue will be shared a few days before via DM to control numbers.

Thanks to those who have previously shared their interest. Now that we have a date please can you confirm your attendance and I will start a guest list. Due to number restrictions, I’m afraid single males will be restricted and all guests must be at least photo verified. Please only say yes to coming if you intend on definitely coming.

It would be fantastic to get a mixture of couples, women and single males.

Really looking forward to it already! I’ll share more as we get nearer, but pop the date in your diary!!!

As I'd only be able to attend if I could get a sitter, and knowing that things are pretty changeable last minute for me in that regard, I'm afraid I'll have to give this one a miss.

Wouldn't want to put my name down and find hours beforehand that I wouldn't be able to make it and thereby depriving someone else of a place.

It will be in the town centre. We are talking to the venue at the moment, but it’s not confirmed yet. We need a rough idea of numbers before booking to make sure it’s big enough.

Everyone’s on the list! We have a good mix so far! We are currently at around two thirds full for the venue capacity. If there’s a lot more genuine interest then we may need to look at a different venue. I’m paying a deposit in 2 weeks time so will make a decision by then!

I’ve just booked the Premier Inn City Centre. It’s literally a 5 minute walk from the venue and is pretty cheap. Ideal location as also near the station.

There’s nearly 60 people on the guest list with roughly 10 so far on reserve! We are visiting the venue next week and if there’s capacity for a few more then we will increase the numbers. It’s still 2 months away so people will pull out and I’m sure there will also be more wanting to come!

This is a tester! If it’s a success and everyone enjoys it then we will look for a bigger venue next time!

We won’t share the actual venue until the week before via private message. We can’t publicly share as we need to control numbers and it could be difficult if people turn up unexpectedly. I have posted above about hotels. The venue is central Chelmsford and near to the station so anywhere near there is ideal!

Really looking forward to it and I’m so glad there’s so much interest! We will make sure it’s a great night! Ebony & Ivory are so sociable and will chat to everyone and I’ll just entertain everyone with my d*unkenness!

Unfortunately we are full to capacity for this event at the moment. We have a reserve list that we can add you to if people can't make it. Anyone who has shown interest after little miss saucy's post announcing the guest list is closed will be added to the reserve list and contacted if space opens up. We really wish we had more space,however the venue is not allowing anymore. Looking at how much interest we have gotten, the next social will have more opportunities for people to attend. Only a few days until Ebony & Ivory and I visit the venue! Really hoping we can increase the capacity as there’s so many people looking to attend and there’s still 2 months to go! We will keep you posted after we’ve visited. We will of course test out the beer to make sure it’s up to scratch

Reposting this from yesterday as I included hotel names which is against FABs rules.

So Ebony & Ivory and I have visited the venue yesterday and it’s perfect for our social. We may be able to increase capacity slightly however the manager is going to confirm this once she has reviewed what other events are on. I’ve paid a deposit to secure it for the 11th. This will be from around 6pm onwards.

We will need to review the attendees on the reserve list to ensure there is balance between single guys, single women and couples and they will be accepted in order of requesting to attend for fairness.

If anyone is unable to attend then please let us know ASAP as there are lots of people that would like to come in your place if not.

If you are looking to book a hotel then please look at ones in the town centre. If you book a hotel then can you confirm on here please so that we know you are 100% coming.

Very excited now it’s all confirmed! I will confirm to those on the reserve list if they can be added once we’ve heard back. The venue will be confirmed via message nearer the time to stop it being public knowledge!
