Thinking of organising a social evening for verified Indian cpls in Midlands
Intially it will be only for cpls and if the interest rises may include singles too .
Would that be interesting?

I'd probably suggest doing a party for those interested in meeting Indian couples/women. Like a bbw party.
If you say Indian people only that's kind of segregating a group of people who would probably be interested in the event.
Whoever posted there are Caucasian only events I have not seen any but if there were they would be accused of racism so why isn't this the same? Just playing devil's advocate. |

This is just a social with ppl who share common language, culture ,food, music . It's easy to get along.
It anyone assumes as it's racist then they should clean their heads .
Just think as a preference .

Last time I'm gonna mention this. Getting away from the topic.... but look, white only events happen, they're just not advertised as "white only" because the organisers can pick & choose who they find suitable from many people that show interest, which given the demographics of the population, will be mostly white people.
The OP is stating "Indian Couples Only", because it's difficult to gain the interest of their target audience simply by saying "couples only" then sifting through hundreds of couples that aren't targeted for this specific event.
Oh, and that thing called "preference" too!
I hate all people that cry "racism" when it comes to preference. If I see a fellow South Asian guy complaining that a white woman doesn't want Indians, I think he's overreacting |

Why not just call it an Asian social for Asians and admirers. Allow non Asians to come to who want to learn more about you food, your culture, and your music. We should be breaking down barriers, not building them. |

Totally agree there is no place in society for racism. Only thing is this is not a meet where preference is key, its a social in a public forum. I remember a sign that used to be put in hotel windows back in the 60's as a preference to the customers they looked for. I can't even bring myself to repeating what it said 'NO BL###S, NO IR##H, NO D#G#. its was only a preference. So angry and disgusted this is still happening in society today. |

I have never ever seen a white only event . Fab for one would not except it. We feel if colour or anything like that has no place in swinging and Not many are Indian I would like to feel they are British as most we know were born in the UK as were most of there parents. Look if you want to organise a social for like minded people then go ahead. Your social, your rules. At no point has the OP said they hate individuals from other races, so get a grip! If you want to only include one legged, bisexual green people who speak russian then that is your choice. OP - good luck with organising the event and taking initiative. These type of gatherings have been occurring in London for years and we have fond memories of desi parties in 2013 and 2014. Although we have formed some great real world friendships from these parties, the swinging aspect is sometimes a headache. We find swinging perhaps easier in a more cosmopolitan environment without the desi drama!
For those who are insinuating that this is racist then please give your views more thought. If Ab Fabs had a BBW or whites only event or a party organiser such as Black Man Fan Clubs then the point maybe stronger as they are profit driven events. For the record, I’m aware that black man fan club are quite responsible and state that the events are aimed for those who like black males but don’t ban others races. Nevertheless clubs and party organisers can and do stop certain people from attending but the reasons given may not always be honest. People of a certain body shape or perceived as not being handsome maybe prohibited from these for profit parties and club nights.
In the scenario for what the OP has posted, then they wish to have a gathering of south Asian folk in a private venue, which will be for socialising and possibly sex. I am sure that there is no appetite to make a profit. How is this any different to a mother and baby coffee morning, park run for OAPS, German language speaking coffee morning, retired military veterans dinners etc?!
We are south Asian ourselves and attend all manners of club nights and parties with all types of people in attendance. If we went to a South Asian focused one then why not? It is a private social invitation and we may see it as culturally enriching or nostalgic. It doesn’t mean we won’t meet non south Asians though.

I’ve got a British mate who has been working in New York for the last decade. He’s part of a British ex pat movement for Liverpool football fans who meet in various NYC bars to watch game live. It gives my buddy a sense of community by being part of this group and that doesn’t mean he dislikes other team supporters. It’s just one of communities he’s part of including foody communities he has joined in New York.

Asian are a bit shy so they won’t come out easily - best way is to start with 2-3 couples + Singles. Let the word of mouth spread out. I am all in to provide help in arranging the venue - even if as a single Male am not allowed in the party - I am really pissed off with culture bullshit that made us hiding our natural desires. Remember we gave this world a book on Kamasutra - we even have temples showing all forms of sexual positions. Shame that such an open society is taken over by cultural bullshit. I travel a lot and been to many parties across the globe - I am ashamed to say that most of the subtle racism is prevalent in UK. You can smell it easily in any swinger clubs or parties. Not talking about the profitable parties - where everyone is entertained. places where I did not experience any racism are Spain, US(California, Atalanta, Portland) and South America( Bogotá, Lima) |

Largely, in the world of fabs, it literally is a case of it being Black and White. Their is a stigma about Asian men. Maybe they think we are all freshies (no offence!) or terrorists!!! I don’t get it otherwise else. Most white people love to get a tan and ‘brown up’..damn, we got this going on naturally!! Of course I am not stigmatising all..just on fabs their is a prevalent attitude towards brown folk (especially the men). |
