Why would you be naked whilst taking photos?

That’s only if requested to do so. Some couples feel more comfortable and have asked me to join in whilst taking photos.

You say you'd buy the SIM card and hand it over after the shoot. You're not going to edit the shots then? As a matter of interest what camera are you shooting with?

No offence but there’s loads of people on here offering exactly the same thing as you are. First place people will look is your own pictures to check their quality.

I am what I call myself a armature photographer, or a hobby one, it's certainly not my job, and by no means an expert. I can take a cracking landscape picture or dramatic sunset, but not of women or couples. would love to try, but it catch 22 ! only if I can show pictures is there any interest, but until I can find a model it's no good. I am looking at hiring a model to try.

If it was me doing this I’d use my Nikon D800 and studio flash. I’d also want to photoshop the images that the client / model chooses so that they are in top condition.

I’ve only ever done my own pictures on here on a phone. You can set timers and take the images yourself. But with a DSLR ideally you need to set a focus point depending on what your shooting. Focus on the subject aim and take the picture.

I’ve done model shoots before and can share those images in private messages if people want to see some of my work. Xx

Hmmm, I would hire a model or two to get started. They'll also direct you if you need help to get the pictures you're after.

Try Model Mayhem or Purpleport when models and photographers offer their services to eachother.

Asking someone off Fab isn't really going to help you develop yours skills unless they happen to be an experienced model or professional photographer.

I'd also display some of your best shots on your profile if you want to showcase your work?

Both model mayhem and purpleport have some wonderful models always willing to work with amature photographers. I have used both sites and I wouldn't even class myself as an amature photographer as its just a hobby for me.

Some good advice here. You're going to struggle to stand out, every guy on here is has a camera!

You'll need to demonstrate your previous work. Definitely consider hiring models, they won't be to expensive (depending on what levels you're shooting), remember, models are not escorts. Get a portfolio together, Get verified.

Saying you will leave the SD card with them after the shoot, just shows you don't care about the photos, you're just there to watch, that's a mark against you.

Even when you have your portfolio, one of the main issues you will encounter, is follow through; whereby, some will say yes, but will, for whatever reason, decide against.

As they are not professional models, expect a high level of last minute drop outs, that is something you will have to get used to, and not get arsey with them.

There will need to be a high level of trust between you both. Approach FAB users considerately, better still let them approach you.

Most people have no idea just how long a proper photoshoot can take. And then there's the test shots to get the lighting your looking for, believe me at times its not as glamorous or sexy as most would have you believe - in fact if I'm ever doing a shoot that doesn't involve my wife, I'm more concerned with the lighting, exposure, what aperture, what focal length.

Also studio lights get very hot so it can get quite hot and sweaty just staying still in one pose let alone getting down to business.

I've had a few requests to do shoots, but I do try and deter people, as to me its something fun me and the wife do together, but it also something that I do for a living (although I tend to shoot industrial fittings for work - sexy!!!) so I would want my time, equipment use etc. covered and as I've pointed out, for the photographer its not really that much of a turn on.

If you really want to take nice photos of lovely ladies/men, look on PurplePort or Mad Cow Models - yes that really is its name! (not a massive fan of Model Mayhem) for one of the studio days, you'll learn a bit about posing, lighting and post processing with an experienced photographer(s) on hand to help you out, using their lighting and light modifiers - and you'll have some nice photos to start your portfolio off with - Think of it like going to a club and getting a verification
