I have noticed social events all tend to be large events, that take aot of planning. What about a small social meet, say in a local pub, which could be a great fun meeting place and held far more often., say 10 people. Just a few d*unks and a chat. Just need a fab signal such as a red band on wrist . Could work and happen quickly. |

good idea about the signal 'red band'...
its embarrassing, but quite funny, when you're eyeing up all the people in a pub, waiting for them to smile or acknowledge you
I ended up talking to one girl, only to find out she wasn't the one I was supposed to be meeting, bad news was I'd have probably had a better night with her LOL |

I think.main.point is for a social we can just meet locally, choose any pub and it can be like a regular evening, which means it can be arranged quickly. Eg 6people meet in a pub for a drink together, but we all know what we like and have in common. Exchange phone numbers etc and .....bingo next few days hmm |

The reason why socials are huge is because however many people you get to say they'll come, most won't. So a small, intimate social of 6 will actually end up being a very small, very intimate meeting of 2, or even one!
So people organise large socials to guarantee at least a few will be there! |
